Windows 7
Problem only started happening a few days ago.
DOES NOT happen when shutting down in Ubuntu
Basically, the system refuses to turn completely off during shutdown and doesn't even want to reboot. Have to do so manually by holding down the power button.
Computer fan runs at full tilt when it should be off and I can even and I can eject the CD drives, too. I do lose video though, so at least that turns off properly.
Unplugging the computer did nothing.
It's not a heat issue since it works fine in Ubuntu. Temps were also fine.
Googling for an answer supplied no real help.
It's a Windows issue. Not sure why. Perhaps a buggy update?
Any suggestions on how I can get it to shutdown properly again?
I hate to be "that guy". But please, just post in the right section.

Tsk. Can a mod move it over? Hate to double-post.
