Recently while playing WoW my computer suddenly froze up, leaving blue dots all over then screen and the sound started stuttering. After I shut it off it wouldn't show anything
on the monitor when I turn it back on, not only till I let it sit for a bit to cool down did it stuff show back on the screen. But now every 10 minutes it will do this and make me have to shut off the entire computer. I believe this is because of my video card over heating or failing for some reason, unless someone knows for sure. Any help?
Also the computer is running on a Nvidia Geforce 9800gt
Sounds like a overheating problem.
Check the temps with

Also try to update the video drivers
I deleted the drivers and reinstalled them, updated them, cleaned my case out put another fan in and nothing so far.
I discovered that it's something called RAM artifacts and looks EXACTLY like this

Anyone have any ideas?
could be an overheating issue, like others have said, download hwmonitor and check the gpu temperature, if it's absurdly high, then you'll need to take the card and clean it/blow all the dust off the fan/heatsink with compressed air or something
Clean that fucker out
I fried my last nVidia like that. It's full of dust, clean it out and you'll be fine.
