Ok so here's the problem, I have adware on my computer, infecting Firefox and Internet Explorer. After exiting Firefox, it still lingers in Task Manager. Same thing with Internet Explorer, except, IT'S NOT INSTALLED ON MY COMPUTER. I try to install AVG but the virus prevents me from installing it. Can anyone help me?
Why don't you search for iexplorer.exe then, if you are positive that it is the filename of the virus

I have, but i have no frigging idea how to get rid of it.
In Task Manager right click iexplorer.exe and Open File Location. Where's it at?

Yeah, i'm using Windows XP and i don't think it utilizes that.
I'm pretty sure you can do that in XP. If not get Process Explorer ( [url]http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx[/url] ), it should show every handle on the process as well as where the file is. You could probably pinpoint the location of the virus that way.
Or just get an Spybot S&D
