I think it was quite a funny video but: A:) Eve and Adam fucked us over after the garden of eden incident, so God isn't meant to intervene in anything, since we basically stole all knowledge of how to do bad things. B:) The bible isn't literal. A lot of it is metaphorical or mistranslated from hebrew (I.e. the parting of the red sea could easily be the parting of the reed sea, a huge field of reeds south of the red sea.) C:) Catholics believe that God forgives via good actions and nothing else (old testament style) Protestants believe that God lets anyone in if they believe in Jesus christ because he forgives them (new testament style) Personally, I think it's best just to be a good guy and respect the bible. Also, please don't think all christians are dickwads like these [img]http://www.wildhunt.org/nohandshake.jpg[/img] The bible quite clearly says: [quote]"...we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbade him, because he followeth not with us. And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us."[/quote] Basically, be tolerant of other religions. Anyway sorry for my mini preach here. I respect other opinions, but I'd just like to make a sane argument against the views expressed in the video rather than the standard "OMG UR GOIN 2 HELL!" bullshit a lot of christians spout.

Well, that's what I've been told on my religion lessons. Also, not taking the bible literally is a new invention, made by church because, as science progressed many things in the bible started to look ridiculous and further defending them would embarrass the church even more.
