K&L for £2.49? Fuck, I spent the last of my Steam wallet cash on Hitman: Blood Money. Part of me hates sales :v:
They aren't too bad for $5. K&L2 can have fun multiplayer if you can actually get a lobby together.
Fuck.
Is K&L2 worth it?
I bought them 2 days before the Square Enix sale started (damnit) for full price and i would say they are worth it.
Too bad this game is only 4 hours long and the MP is dead. Though K&L1 is a much better game.
I bought K&L 2 at retail, and while I wasn't exactly blown away, the story was alright but really grindy like you're playing an MMO or something. You just want to beat the billon police just to see the next part of the story. The multiplayer was cool but it died and was never really patched so that's almost worthless. K&L 1 I feel had the better story and missions, so I rebought it for PC.
I bought K&L2 for £25. I like the visuals and the level design as well as how gritty it is but the gameplay was just non-stop shooting and it was short. The ending was extremely disappointing.
Is K&L worth it? I mean, is it any fun?
Is K&L worth it? I mean, is it any fun?
Not sure about the first but avoid the second game. Its maybe worth a rent but its just not as good as it should have been. Like I said the visuals and atmosphere are good but the gameplay is just so basic.
god they're so desperately trying to sell them now
I can't believe they are actually trying to do a third. They lied about K&L2 learning from the mistakes of the first, how do they expect anyone to take them seriously. Same applies to Medal of Honor 2.
Okay I only bought the first one then.
Is K&L worth it? I mean, is it any fun?
Play the demo, and see. But be aware of the very short length of the full game. Many have complained about an unsatisfying ending even at that. If you are talking about the first one, it was fun in coop and for the cheap price its a good deal I'd say.
Be aware that K&L DD was Yahtzee's worst game of 2010.
Or you can stick a finger down your own throat and throw up, same experiance except one is free and the other isn't
Warning to everyone, don't buy either of these games, they're constantly making them super cheap for a REASON
The first had a better (existent) story, and it had a bunch of really cool scenes like the heist. However, the game goes to shit once you get to the war bits. The ending was also turrible, at least the one I got. That being said, I still enjoyed the game. The 2nd one, well, the graphics were better. The story was pretty much nonexistent, honestly. Most of the time I had no idea what was going on, and you were just shooting and endless wave of police/asians. The ending for that game was pretty disappointing, too. I really like Kane and Lynch as characters, but somehow that studio keeps making shitty games. I really wanna like them, but they're so terribly repetitive and exhausting to play. At least they have some cool scenarios like the helicopter bit in KL2 and the Prison Break and Heist in KL1
Plus the first K&L had better locations and all the environments were varied. Everything in the second game is just back alleys of Shanghai. And these guys are the same people behind the Hitman games. It surprises me how low both games are. Maybe it's because Square Enix is corrupting them or something but seriously.
$5 is not a bad price for K&L2. If you have friends that you can play with, go for it. [editline]19th February 2011[/editline] also I have to keep mentioning that K&L as characters are supposed to be unlikable, dirty fucks. K&L as a series (well two games but whatever) is supposed to be about two crazy fucking guys doing crazy fucking stupid shit.

$5 for a 4 hour game with a dead MP.
This game was horrible, even for free it isn't worth it. Seriously.
$5 for a 4 hour game with a dead MP.
That's a pretty good value in all honesty. You could pay more to watch a movie that only lasts an hour and a half.
That's a pretty good value in all honesty. WE GOTTA GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE $5 would be better spent on a rental of a good movie at Blockbuster. Refer to this: http://angryjoeshow.com/2010/08/kane-lynch-2-review/
I've played both of them, and owned both of them, and just re-bought 1. The plot in the first isn't terrible but I didn't see a hell of a lot of plot in 2, I will agree with that, but it has its moments. Like when [sp]they get cut up with the boxcutters[/sp], that was pretty gruesome but maybe it was just a reason for them to run around naked on the streets.

Oh I didn't say it wasn't, they just wanted to be controversial or something.
From $60 to $5 in less than a year. That sums things up nicely.
