CCP is the company that made and runs EVE Online.

ETC - EVE Time Code. It even says that in the first two sentences of the article.

PLEX - Pilot License Extension. Adds 30 days to your account.

ETC is the same thing as those

well PLEX is a digital version of those ingame in EVE, and you can sell them for ingame spacebux (and you could only buy them direct from CCP's website)

but now rather than buying ETC from amazon, you can buy plex

so basically you can pay 15 realdollars on amazon, get a plex code, and sell that plex item for spacebux

There's probably more people that would rather the prices go up than down since it's an easy way of getting quick flows of in-game cash coming in.

I was in a corp with this guy that would buy dozens and dozens of PLEX each month and sell them all in-game. He had so much money he bought everything money could buy and then, not having anything further to purchase and being bored, he would hold trivia and quiz games in the corp chat and give out billions every few days to the winners.

I tended to ignore it, but once I managed to quick-shot an answer and he sent me 200,000,000 within the same minute. I shouldn't have quit playing; could have kept getting money from him. :v:
