• How to make a texture in Photoshop seamless?

I've been working with PS for quite some time now, but I just can't figure out how to make textures (for use in Source engine maps) seamless. Is there a tool designed with this in mind? feel free to rate me boxes
What I usually do to make it seamless horizontally: - Make a duplicate of the image, but keep the canvas the same size as the original image - Place both images side by side, so that they meet in the middle of the image (the seam should be in the middle) - Manually remove the blatant seam in the middle with brushes, clone tool, whatever. If you then select all > copy merged, you'll have your seamless image. This process can be repeated vertically as well.
Filter > Other > Offset Then use the heal tool.
Make sure your brightness levels are even everywhere otherwise the tiling will be very obvious even if you use the heal method

Didn't Ajackss make a tutorial of how to do nice seamless textures?
Yeah but it's hidden somewhere in all the pages of 3D Digital art so I figure it's not too easy to find
