Okay the thread may seem pointless but it would help me a lot.
Some of you or some of your friends may of expiranced this. You go get the latest product from apple and you enjoy for about a week or two then the next version of the product comes out.
This has happened to me when I got my nano 4g and a mate of mine when he got his notebook from them.
Okay enough about the little rant is the anything about the next iTouch since I don't want to buy one then the next product of it's former self comes out. The staff at apple don't let you know much about this stuff they rather jhave you come in and buy the next one after just getting it.
You could start by not being a total retard and look when the latest one was released, then learn how often they are released.
iPod Touches are normally release around Q3, August-October normally.
The new itouch is supposed to have a camera.

I actually doubt that. It would take away one huge feature from the iPhone, which trust me, they want to sell a lot more than iPod Touchs.

You're right, Apple wouldn't want to give the iPod Touch a camera, because that COULD reduce iPhone sales. They see the Touch as a "gaming device" (even though it really isn't) and I don't think we're going to see one of the iPhone's major features in the iPod Touch anytime soon.

You don't get it. Although they don't shout it out, the iPod touch is basically a demo of the iPhone. It's a "lite" version of the iPhone. People will own an iPod touch then they'll see all the popular apps in the AppStore that utilize a 3G connection, the microphone, and the camera, and they'll have the urge to get an iPhone. It's like a promotional demo device, more or less. Adding a major functionality to the 'lite' version makes people less likely to buy the 'full' product since they'll be getting less 'exclusive' for their money. Sort of like an demo app that becomes updated to be exactly like the full app but has ads. Most people would go for the demo since ads aren't that annoying generally.

Well put. I know I wouldn't be getting an iPhone for Christmas if I hadn't have got my iPod Touch last year.

I take my sisters iPod touch all the time. I've downloaded half the shit on it.
It's a 1G iPod touch, the slowest of the slow. Of course games don't run well on those. :v:
