• My mouse broke, might use as an excuse to get a fancy one.

My old mouse gave up the ghost, deciding up and left didn't really matter much, so I'm in need of a new one. I would use google or ebay to look up brands but I'm going to wear out my tab key, I've got £30~£40 to spend, I live in the UK which'll add on the shipping from some companies. No looking for anything particularly fancy, as long as it's durable and has three or five buttons, but if you find something that's a good deal I'll rate you heart.
Logitech MX518.
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/174418 Logitech G500, £40.50 free delivery. I have one of these, indestructible and the specs are stupidly good.
Mx518 is an excellent mouse.

-snip- I'm stupid and don't read the thread properly.
Dont' spend more then 50+ bucks on a mouse.
Razer Deathadder. I have one, and it's brilliant. Got it for about £35 from Amazon last year, so it should still be in your budget.
Good choice with that MX518.
Logitech MX518.
Mx518 fast optic response, fucking epic place for the thumb, high grip enough so both big and small hands wont have a issue.
Mx518 is nice, but is there a version without the ugly dents in it?
I don't mean to be an asshole, but what's the point of a super gaming mouse? Why isn't a simple $20 dollar microsoft mouse good enough?
I don't mean to be an asshole, but what's the point of a super gaming mouse? Why isn't a simple $20 dollar microsoft mouse good enough?
cheap shit works decent stuff works better

Logitech Mx518. Logitech G5 is fine too, but Mx518 is better for the price.
I don't mean to be an asshole, but what's the point of a super gaming mouse? Why isn't a simple $20 dollar microsoft mouse good enough?
The Mx518 is a solid investment. It is the one and only exception to the rule that "gaming" hardware is absolute garbage. I have owned plenty of cheapy mice. Lots of Microsoft Wireless Optical Mice, a bunch of $20 basic Logitech mice, and more than enough generics. They've all had their fair share of tracking issues and most failed after only light use. Not so with the Mx518. I've had this mouse for several years now. It has slid across my mousepad so many times that the once-thick teflon feet are totally gone. The bottom surface is polished perfectly flat, so flat that I can see objects in its reflection and when I place it on my desk's surface it attaches like a suction cup. It now sports two lengths of teflon-coated wire which I have taped in place of its original feet. Where the logo once was is now bare plastic. In spite of this regular abuse, it remains a very solid piece of hardware. It tracks with incredible precision, never missing a pixel. I cannot say this about any other mouse I've ever used.
I always liked all of Razer's mice. They are pretty solid and glow real nice =)
Definitely Deathadder, especially the new 3.5g 3500 DPI sooooo nice + SteelSeries QcK mousepad 24".
Logitech Mx518. Well, it arrived today and I dicked around with the settings, it's very good, movement is a lot smother than my old mouse, very good value. Thanks guys.
Does the scroll on that one, also have two modes? [editline]09:29AM[/editline] I ask because the scroll on my G5 is slowly breaking, and I'm going to need a new mouse soon.
No, but it does have a button that does the winkey+tab thing..
