• Generic Host Process for Win32 crashed | Mixerdevice stops working

I don't want to go in full fledged explanations right now since I don't have the time for that Sometimes, completely randomly I get an error: Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered an error and needs to close When it shows up, a minute after that my sound stops working, when I try to open the mixer device I get an error: No mixer device is installed. Please check your hardware. Also my taskbar partly changes into a Win95 taskbar. Partly because half of it is the normal Win XP taskbar and the other half is the Win95 styled taskbar. This is seriously pissing me off and I've first seen this problem occur a few weeks ago. I get this every day and I have to restart my computer because after an hour or so Explorer.exe and Drwatson32.exe crash and I can't do jack shit anymore. I really need your help
This time around it froze 10 minutes after I started up my computer. What the fuck is this shit.
Similar for me, but not just sound: EVERYTHING. However the generic host process crash is quite similar to my problems. Also, post your computer specs.
Virus Scan, then SFC /scannow (in safe mode, of course) If that's not working, then you might need a full reinstall.
