Nearly 100 Years After Conception, the Condom (M & F) is Being Improved
Our civilization has explored outer space. We have cars that drive themselves. We've created a world connected by computers. But despite the astonishing innovations of the last 100 years, the latex condom remains woefully old fashioned. It practically hasn't changed since its invention in 1918. And I think we can all agree that condoms are universally hated—a necessary evil of safe, protected sex.
Future patron saint (should his design work the way he says) Daniel Resnic is seeking to change all that with the first non-rolled, injection-molded, engineered, silicone condom. His invention is called Origami and it looks like this:
I didn't embed because of Vimeo bug on FP.

The female condom looks freaking awesome.
Are they doing this just for that challenge made by Bill Gates?

this is one peculiar contraption
That looks way too loose to be comfortable, and even if it's stronger than latex that sort of friction is how you break condoms.
Also like Bill Gates said, a critical part of a successful condom is getting people to want to use them.
My gut reaction is that that's a fucking dick-accordion.

Christ, I wouldn't want one of those going up me arse!
dick-accordion.
Brilliant invention my good man; plays all the right notes upon thrust in and thrust out!
It's a fucking flesh light. What an an idiot.

polka is now a porn genre
Christ, I wouldn't want one of those going up me arse!
It's not designed for anal, there is one from them designed for anal though.
I would have posted a Manly Man retort for OP's content but have decided against so
[editline]Edit[/editline]
Looks like that accordion will fold upon entry and spread on exit. Interesting concept.

Dr. Suess brand condoms!
You could say development has been rather flaccid.
Finally
Condoms of today are literally terrible. Their effectiveness is below a 90% for reducing pregnancy I mean holy shit
Hopefully these break less and are better at STD and STI protection. Certainly the design looks much better as well

if they feel better than traditional condoms one can hope that they will catch on
It looks like it takes away from the feeling of actual sex, iirc that's one of the bigger complaints about condoms and one of the reasons people don't like to use them
Where can we beta test it?
Where can we beta test it?
It's currently in closed beta, the only people who have access are the developers friends and family, and it's only to be used amongst themselves.
woops, posted already, snip

Below 90%?

What a phrase. :v:
dis fgt is dum
"these condoms are lubed internally" yeah so are normal condoms! You're acting as if that is a revolutionary idea!
Not only that but the 'new' condom would break, as it doesn't have a bubble in the front which you need.
They know nothing about condoms.
there's a joke about conception here somewhere but I can't think of it
But will it blend?
