Iraqi national Abu Nabil, also known as Wissam Najm Abd Zayd al-Zubaydi, was a "long-time al-Qaeda operative", it said. The strike took place on Friday and targeted a compound in Derna. The Pentagon said the strike showed that it would go after IS leaders "wherever they operate".
Oh wait, this had nothing to do with Paris and was in motion before then- :snip:
It's strange how we can just pick a person and kill them these days. Bit of Intel, push of a button, job done.
Good fucking riddance, rest in piss.
(coming from my knowledge, which may not always be correct) and just like before, it won't do jack shit because they will be replaced.
This is like cutting an earthworm in half
Isn't this like the millionth time the leader of ISIS has died?
Isn't this like the millionth time the leader of ISIS has died?
It's not the main leader. It's a regional leader afaik.
It's not the main leader. It's a regional leader afaik.
Vice regional leader will die next week, and then we'll get the same news headline.
Well, this has to do something... Al Qaeda was the same iirc, look at where they are now...
(coming from my knowledge, which may not always be correct) and just like before, it won't do jack shit because they will be replaced.
This is actually a super stupid sentence to say. You can say the same about if the US president gets killed, sure he will get replaced ofc. But that doesn't mean he's as good or has the same skills as the last one. [editline]15th November 2015[/editline] and may be super ineffective in his way of managing things
(coming from my knowledge, which may not always be correct) and just like before, it won't do jack shit because they will be replaced.
People always say this, I'm not sure why. Having any sort of leadership being eliminated is always going to be disruptive and negative for an organization. Sure someone is going to replace him, but is he going to be as effective at his job? Is he going to have the loyalty of all his men or groups within his organization? Imagine going to work and every few weeks or months your boss quits. Killing leadership is very detrimental. The whole "he will be replaced" line is akin to "why didn't he shoot him in the leg". Its just something people say when they don't bother putting any sort of critical thinking into what is going on. [editline]15th November 2015[/editline] As mentioned before, look at Al Qeada. It hardly is a cohesive group anymore. It has been totally decimated by the elimination of its leadership. You have some groups within Al Qeada fighting along side ISIS, which Al Qeada is officially at war with. The group is a total disaster now.
