A day or so ago I was updating my iPod touch 2G, to 3.0 after having put it off for an extremely long time. As I was finishing it all up though, iTunes happened to crash. Now when I try and connect the iPod to my computer, the apple mobile device support crashes and the iPod will not be recognized by iTunes. Thinking it would fix the problem first I restarted my computer, this didn't help. After this I tried reinstalling iTunes as well as AMDS, this also failed. I tried reinstalling/restarting in many different orders, and still I am at square one and cannot make the Apple Mobile device not crash when I connect the iPod.
I am really at a loss of what else there is to do as I connected to another computer just fine with my iPod, but obviously this isn't really a realistic option. I've tried what I know, spent a few hours googling and such, so now I come to you asking for some sort of idea as to why a total uninstall isn't fixing up AMDS already.
Format your iPod.
Formatted to latest firmware which is now apparently 3.1, still same issue. I went to the other computer to do this.
