Naww, nonsense. You're totally safe if you're inside a car when lightening strikes, since the energy just passes through the body of the car and down to earth like it was designed to, leaving you and your very high resistance body untouched and unharmed. Only way it could cause problems is if it somehow ignited the fuel but I can't see how that'd happen. Lighting certainly wouldn't make the car explode in that fashion, either way
