Ive been using Ernie Ball slinkys for a while now, and I loved the feel but I got tired of the wimpy sound they had. Went into the music shop and left with a pair of GHS Boomers and, I absolutely love them. I started with Dean Markley's, which I love the sound of, but am experimenting around. I also like the way ernie ball heavy bottom skinny tops sound, but they still fell weird to me, I just couldn't get used to them.
What string do you guys use?
Dunlop gauge 10s. Amazing strings.

Never tried Dunlops as none of the local shops carry them. I love guitar center has out all the guitars to try out, but I wish you do the same with strings
I always use super slinkies and you have inspired me to change my ways.
I bought a five-pack of GHS boomers for $15 on black friday, but i've yet to use them.
elixers all the way

I disagree. I used them for as long as I can remember, and they were alright. Then I decided to switch to Ernie Ball, and have been using them ever since. I've heard elixirs are really good, but they are like twice the price of any other set of strings.
Elixir Nanoweb
DR Lo-Riders
I stopped using Ernie Ball strings because I was only getting 2 or 3 gigs out of them before they sounded dead, I can get a few months out of a set of Elixirs. Not only that but the sound stays consistent over that life time (No over-emphatic zingyness from new so no need to break them in). For me that makes them worth the cost.
(I am saying this from a bass point of few but strings'r'strings)
I use DRs 11 gauge. Absolutely love them.
D'Addario super light gauges .009 - .042
D'Addario nickel wound strings on my bass guitar .045 - .105
I use daddarios 10-52. They last long and they sound absolutely great!
Fender 10s
Sound amazing on my strat
DR Dimebag strings. They seem to be easier to get harmonics off of than others.
Elixer Nanoweb. Lasts the longest, sound best to me. I love how D'Addario uses color coding, so I get them when I'm pinched for money. Sound great, just don't last as long.
Can someone suggest me some strings? I use super slinkies at the mo but I want a thicker tone.. I still don't want a heavy gauge though because this guitar is mostly for solos. Thoughts?

Id go with the GHS Boomers I use. Feel exactly like slinks (not super) but have a much brighter tone.
Just found a three pack of D'Addario XL NickelWound Super Light Gauge .009/.042 in my stocking.
Webstrings bulk. Honestly, I can't tell a difference between my Pure Blues 9's and between my 10's Titanium/coated Ernie's.
I think most people really overspend on strings. I buy my guitar strings for $2.50/set, and still made in USA.
I am not gonna spend 10-15$ for Elixirs and EBs ever again
Elixir Nanowebs piss me off though. The coating gets all torn up where I play. No other coateds I've used do that
12-56 D'Addario's. they can take a beating and don't splick splick or go dull after usage like Ernie Balls.
Elixir for acoustic and D'Addario for electric
I use elixirs on my bass, because they have an alright sound for ages, but other string I have tried have a great sound for the first week or so, then have an alright sound for a few weeks, and they have a shit sound. If I had the money I'd buy new strings every week.
Dunlop heavy core .11 all the way. They suit my style.
I use Elixir Medium Phosphor Bronze .013-.056 and they sound magnificent on my acoustic, but the G and D strings break all the time because I tune to G to G# and D to E for some songs that have weird tunings (Antoine Dufour), so I downgraded to D'Addario strings which are much cheaper with a similar sound (same exact type as the Elixir).
It just costs way too much money to keep replacing the strings. The Elixirs went for $16.99 and the D'Addarios were $6.99.
I use La Bella .15-.80 for my PRS MM Baritone
The sound is godly in a deep C# (bass octave)

I use Regular Slinky .10's on my strat and tele, looking into getting some ridiculous .14-.15's to do some bluegrass on my acoustic.

Always hittin' the brown note mate!
I use Elixir strings on both my acoustic and electric guitars.
I'm never picky about the specific brand or anything, because regardless what type you use, the biggest determinant in your sound is you, not your ridiculously overpriced guitar and strings. Regardless, I always go for whatever is nickle, just because they last awhile, and the only time they break is when you're trying to get them to break.
