A pretty good review that shows how far ESO has come since the embarrassing launch, really nice to see Zeni actually step up to make the game actually better. This is a must watch vid for those looking for a current fair handed review rather than blasting the game away merely for it's beta/launch.
The biggest problems I had with the game were bots and bugs (the bank wiping one was especially frustrating). If both aren't a problem anymore, I'll definitely continue playing again.
Is ESO a good game? I've wanted to try it but I wasn't sure is it'd be worth my time.

this video was right on time. Someone I kinda knew was thinking of buying this game and I discouraged him based on the state it was in at release, but it seems to have improved a whole lot.
I thought people hated it just for generally being a game nobody asked for that didn't really have any interests ideas rather than a poor launch.
I thought people hated it just for generally being a game nobody asked for that didn't really have any interests ideas rather than a poor launch.
People hated it because it was a bad mmo that no one asked for. It has improved since and with no monthly sub it could be worth it for some.
My biggest grudge against this game was the awful implementation of the group system, where quest progressing wans't shared, leading to a headache when playing with friends. Did they fix that?

I replayed the game here a few days ago and had a lot more fun with it. WAY better then what it was at release.
Is it still subscription based? If so then it will never live up to the cost. [editline]2nd April 2015[/editline] Whats with games being f2p, p2w and subscription based with addition of microtransactions. Where is b2p? I would have considered it if it was pay once and play, but i got nearly bored of the game in 3 days that i played it.
I would have considered it if it was pay once and play
that's exactly what it is. please do your research
Doesn't ESO trample all over the established lore of TES though? Or have they stated this game isn't canon? Personally, even though the game has gotten somewhat better, I think I'm going to wait until it goes truly free to play. Last time I spent $60 on an MMO was with Guild Wars 2, and I maybe had a good 3 months of fun with it until it turned to shit. I'm still pretty burned by that, so I'm not really willing to buy MMOs anymore.

I have almost 1300 hours in GW2 and if I had quit after 3 months that would've still been well worth the money spent. My problem with the video is it said nothing about what the endgame PVE or PVP content is like. This is an MMO so it seems weird that such an important part of the game is completely avoided.

With the changes GW2 has had since that 3 month period after launch, it still makes me feel ripped off and disappointed, not wanting to buy another MMO. I'm not entirely sold on spending $60 on ESO, given its shaky start and most TES veterans I know frowning upon it. I'd much rather it be free to play outright so I can decide without any initial investment if it's good or not, and then support the devs by buying things in the game if I do think the game is good.

Other than that, lorewise, I'm not sure. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest though, game has a ton of lore.
