Yes, it's Carmageddonostalgia time again! This time, those wonderful people at GOG.com have worked their GOGological magic and we are proud to announce that the result is the welcome return of Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse Now! This was the smash hit sequel to the original Carma that introduced the world to the delights of repulsificators, kangaroos on command, and groovin’ stick insect peds with stupid heads! You'll split your sides as you careen wildly down memory lane, roaring back to the days when 3D peds were at the cutting edge, and those fashionably polygonal characters burst enthusiastically as the cutting edge of your Eagle split their sides! Marvel at the sights in Beaver City! Gawp with admiration at the USS Lewinsky! And whoop with excitement as you hurtle round the rollercoaster at Mr. Jolly's Fairground! Plaster peds across the asphalt… Eviscerate an elephant… P-P-P-Push a penguin down a mountain! And find out just how many elk fit in an engine bay! Not only have GOG pulled out all the stops to bring Carmageddon 2 back, but they're also offering this fantastic deal! To celebrate the launch, GOG.com is also hosting a giveaway of 50,000 copies of the original Carmageddon Max Pack, via social media site Reddit.com, where the developers of the Carmageddon franchise will be answering questions about Carmageddon, their recent successful Kickstarter, the new game in the series and pretty much anything else. Check this article from 13:00 GMT today (Thursday, 17th October 2013) for the link to take part in the giveaway or to ask Stainless anything! If you've never played Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse now, you don't know what fun you missed. And if you have, then you know how much you want to experience the joys again! And GOG have made that possible, in the way only they can... Bless their little cotton GOGologists. fucking yes! Game of my childhood!
fyi, this was the best Carmageddon game.
And now, to inflict hell on everyone as Hans Abba. :v: The truck was like the Oddjob of Carmageddon with how ridiculous it was.
fyi, this was the best Carmageddon game.
TDR 2000 was awesome too I reckon, never played the first one. 2 was yes, the best. The missions and tracks on that game!
The missions were ridiculously hard. I still see my 8 year old self crying in despair
I've only played the first and TDR 2000, I really should try this one.
I got the first through the reincarnation kickstarter. Now all I need is some more money.
I've only played the first and TDR 2000, I really should try this one.
I might get into trouble for this, but... It's at the bottom of the page.
So it works with windows 7 64 bit now?
So it works with windows 7 64 bit now?
Always did, with a few problems if you tried playing directly from the launcher (carma2.exe). My way was to make a shortcut to CARMA2_HW.exe with the launch option d3d to force Direct3D ..Now, to find out how to use OpenGL considering Direct3D is soon obsolete.
Weird thing about Carmageddon 2. I played the demo for hours with a friend. It was time limited so we would see how many zombies we could kill in the 60 seconds or whatever. Then I got the full game and it was people instead of zombies and wasn't really as much fun :(

(Seriously, I have a hunting simulator where the deer bleed green blood instead of red.)
The missions were ridiculously hard. I still see my 8 year old self crying in despair
this guy makes it look easy [hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gealrbvJtuc[/hd]
I remember the original game giving me nightmares when I was a kid due to the title screen. My brother even called me into the room once just to spring the title screen on me and scare me shitless.

When I played Carma2 it was regular flesh and blood people, then I played TDR with the zombies. I remember actually getting scared at the opening cutscene, I was about 7 tbf.
according to The Carmageddon Comic still available on www.carmajunkies.com
I wasn't even aware this existed, thanks! [editline]18th October 2013[/editline] I honestly thought TDR's missions were harder than 2's

(Just be sure to try the Function keys, ranging from F1 to F10... They're different camera angles)
Carmageddon 2 and TDR were pretty much what I liked to play when I was a kid next to Re-Volt, Midtown Madness 1/2 and Motocross Madness (2) [sp]CANNONS[/sp].

I made textures and first got to understand the basics of UV Mapping thanks to modding for Re-Volt. For a while now, I've been doing my own small little experiments in UDK/Unity to try create a new version of that game because it was a big part of my childhood and that game really needed a sequel that wasn't utter shit.

Muh childhood I remember considering myself an "elite game hacker" when I edited the .txt config files and gave myself diferent cars in the demo.
Did you also play Jazz Jackrabbit because if you did then you might actually be me
In fact, yes.
I remember considering myself an "elite game hacker" when I edited the .txt config files and gave myself diferent cars in the demo.
Wow, yeah I did the same thing. Those were the days.
I was given it in a french "Vicious" games triple CD it had Unreal 1. Resident evil 2 and Carmageddon 2... I was like 9-10 and it had some killer songs on it! it was so freaking awesome! Later I learned that half of the awesome songs were Iron maiden and I've been addicted to them ever since!
