Belgian police foil major terror attack planned during Belgium-Ireland Euro 2016 clash
Belgian police have arrested 12 suspects in a major anti-terror operation overnight amid security alerts in Belgium and France around the Euro 2016 match this afternoon between Belgium and the Republic of Ireland.
It comes just three months after Islamist bombers wrought carnage in Brussels.
Three men were charged with terror-related crimes after two days of raids and the detention of 40 people in a major investigation.
Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel chaired a meeting of the government's security council - which includes the ministers of defence, foreign affairs, home affairs and justice - on Saturday after the raids and said soccer-related events would go on as planned with extra security measures.

It's an infestation at this point.
The hell did belgium do again? Kinda weird for them to not be doing this shit against denmark, guess they forgot about us.
This is very worrying.
But one hell of a job the authorities in Belgium pulled off there.
The sad reality is, they can't catch all of them and without any doubt a terror attack in Europe WILL eventually happen again.
The worst about all of this is that the police found no weapons or explosives. That's very worrying.

I doubt that they arresed these guys only on suspiciton, if they have clear connections to terror networks and plan about an coordinated attack, then they are a threat.
Just a day before the terror attacks in Paris, German police intercepted a weapon smuggler who was heading to Paris. I suspect they receive their "hardware" when they need it.
And this comes off the arrest of an acquaintance of the Brussel bombers too yesterday, who worked at Zaventem Airport, and judging by the evidence, had helped the bombers to plan their bombings.
It was also reported Mohamed Abrini, the terror suspect arrested in the wake of the attacks on Brussels airport and metro in March that killed 32, has managed to communicate with the outside world despite being confined to a prison in Beveren.
A message scrawled in Arabic on an A4 piece of paper that was intercepted by a fellow inmate and handed to prison authorities reads: "Something is moving in France".
Bloody hell, Belgium really has massive issues of Islamic terrorism festering in their country. They had already loads of anti-terror operations after Brussels with a big number of arrests, but there doesn't seem to be an end to this terrorist threat anytime soon. It's very good by the Belgian police that they did intercept multiple attacks, but as Hauptmann said, it's very worrying that they haven't found any weapons of explosives in this one. Which could mean that the buddies of those terrorists might try to launch a terrorist attack soon in Europe, if they know that the cops might be on them. I really hope that the Belgian police can prevent such an attack before it happens, but I fear that they can't stop every single one of them at this point, given how widespread Islamic terrorism seems to be in Europe these days. That Mohamed Abrini, the one Brussel bomber with the hat who fled the airport apparently still has sent instructions towards other terrorists while in jail, goes to show that the whole terrorism network is bigger than previously thought.
They have accomplices amongst the prison guards, those fucks are literally everywhere in the country, one guy was found in my town too, and I don't even live near Brussels.
