Hey facepunch, I thought it would be fun to have a religious debate thread, and the inevitable shitstorm that will follow :)
I've been trying to get in to religion recently, after so many religious people telling me that my life can't be complete without faith or god, but I’m really struggling to find a good point of view for there side of things that I can take to heart after all the historical inaccuracies and bullshit contradictions to science that religious texts have to offer.
But hey, I’m still an open minded person so I turn to the most articulate community on the internet to help me in my quest to understand religion!
to get things going ; "There must be a god because I don't know how things work"
vs.
"science can not explain everything, and has had to correct itself many times"
