So earlier today my new phone an huawei activa bricked while I was restarting it. Was not trying to root or anything like that. A lot of my apps started to crash (facebook, google music) so I decided to restart the phone, then when it started it got stuck in a boot loop. I'm getting it replaced under warranty but what can I do so I can ensure this does not happen again or fix it.
Get a better phone, basically. That's a really cheap phone and likely very little time was spent getting Android working properly on it. You're bound to have problems.
I did a bit of searching and there doesn't appear to be a custom ROM available. If you're lucky, it was a defect in that phone specifically and it won't happen again.
I don't have the money for a better phone. This is what I have to work with. I know there are recovery mods. I just need to know what one to get and how they work. Atleast until a stable custom rom comes out for it then il root and flash that. I know other poor people are going to want to develop it.

If you're lucky enough to find a ROM for a phone with the same hardware, you could probably do it yourself fairly easily.
Otherwise, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for someone else to do it.
