Alabama GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore said Wednesday that transgender people don't have rights.
"The transgenders don't have rights," Moore said Wednesday during a press conference, according to the Montgomery Advertiser.
"They’ve never been denominated as having rights by the U.S. Supreme Court."
Moore then went after his Democratic opponent, former federal prosecutor Doug Jones, saying he is taking up "transgender issues and transgender rights in the military."
"He believes in transgender bathrooms and transgenders in the military. I disagree with him 100 percent," Moore said during the appearance.
Moore is running to fill the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions, who was tapped by President Trump to lead the Justice Department earlier this year. He's running against Jones in the December special election.
The Alabama candidate has hardly been embraced by Washington Republicans, and is now dealing with a new controversy.
Fuck this cunt.
Sadly, he isnt wrong. Courts have conveniently left trans people out of rulings for decades and with Trump deciding the supreme court for the foreseeable future, that probably isnt going to change anytime soon.
Man who was removed from judicial office for the second time less than 18 months ago for ignoring a Supreme Court ruling suddenly develops a deep respect for the decisions of the high court. This hypocritical, racist liar embodies the worst of America, and he should have been effectively disqualified from running for a federal office long before he was accused of sexually abusing a child.
Is he trying to distract from the underage sex allegations? What a low thing to do.
The GOP's favorite to win Alabama's Senate race next month is being accused of inappropriate sexual conduct with a 14-year-old girl in 1979, according to an explosive new report in The Washington Post.
Leigh Corfman, now 53, said she met GOP candidate Roy Moore when he offered to watch her during her mother's child custody hearing. Moore, at the time, served as an assistant district attorney.
He learns from the best.

and to think there's convicts who are much better than this guy who have less rights. He should be banned from holding any public office, hell he should be banned from voting.
Hopefully the media will ramp up the sexual assault case coverage and destroy this loathsome cunts career
A real character, this guy. Certainly not doing himself any favors with the news media.
what a turd

Yeah he sure is a character, like all of his refusals to listen to the Supreme Court, his blatant homophobia and transphobia, his inability to keep church and state separate, and the fact that he probably raped a girl.

"Boy this Hitler guy sure is a character. His wacky antics are doing him no favours at all!"

It's just locker room touching, no biggie.
I wanted so badly to think maybe be means, "transgender peoples have no more rights than anyone else", which is true, but man, its clear to me he probably does not think that. Stop trying to be king, Moore. You're probably a closeted gay yourself. Get the fuck out of the public eye, you're a disgrace.

Dunno why you'd think that when he said 'the transgenders have no rights'. Like, when you begin a statement with 'the transgenders' or 'the blacks' or 'the gays', the end of that statement isn't likely to be good

Its not my business what his personal beliefs are, but it can be an honest mistake to say something like, "black/transgender people don't have rights" while intending to mean, "black/transgender people don't have any rights that any other person doesn't have", when responding to the inquiry, "what about transgender rights?". I guess I gave the man the benefit of the doubt since I don't really know him, nor would I hold it against someone for taking his words out of context, but its quite evident there was no context other than blatant discrimination and what appears to be hatred.
He should try to sign having sex with 14 year olds into law
[editline]10th November 2017[/editline]
That's his thing after all, if the allegations are true
If he isn't talking about -human- rights, he isn't qualified for the job, is what I'm trying to get at.

So indeed he IS talking about the prior, not the latter, cause him being against trans members in the military is directly a "others have a right that they do not have"
