• Question: My search for The Motorola Milestone 3

Hi Facepunch! I've recently fallen in love with the Motorola Milestone 3 as the title suggests. Now trouble lies with that i live in Denmark and i can't seem to any information about this phone og any sellers (The only ones that are selling is the Milestone 2). Now my question is: Is the phone as amazing as i think it seems, how much is it on average, where can i buy it and or import it, is it even releashed in the EU yet? Would be lovely to find it used or just cheaper seeing as i'm with a shitty phone at the moment(Less than 12 hours, with a suckey antenna). The reason for me wanting a Milestone 3 is: It's my first step in using a Smart phone and the qwerty-keyboard would be a feature much appriciated, and it's speccs seem well upto date. Hope you can help. <3 Wasn't sure if this is the right place to make the thread but i do have one up and running in fast threads.
That's strange. See this: http://phonetalk.dk/2011/06/motorola-milestone-3-droid-3-uden-lanceringsdato/
The Milestone 2 is excellent on all accounts. I had a G1 for three years and loved it. The Milestone 2 has not let the QWERTY smartphone market down. Interestingly there is very little difference between the Milestone 2 and the Milestone - perhaps the Milestone 3 is a similar kettle of fish?

A duel-core processor, a 8 mega pixel camera and the option to record in 1080p(and the hdmi out), those seem like the most notable upgrades, not to mention the 32gb on the phone oh and of course the 5 row qwerty. Trouble right now is the article says there is no certian releash date for the phone in the EU, but another article on the site says that China already has it releashed (http://phonetalk.dk/2011/06/motorola-milestone-3-officiel-i-kina/).
I own a Droid 3, I assume there's no differences between the EU version besides the name and the cell network. The keyboard is wonderful. I personally liked the square pad thing on the original Droid/Milestone better than the arrow keys, but the new number row, more clicky tactile feel and the tiny bit of spacing between the keys more than makes up for it. It's a little big and heavy compared to competing phones, and bigger than the Milestone 1 and 2, though the weight feels quite balanced and it fits in my pocket easily. I like the design anyways, has a real solid feel it it. Looks beautiful too, the frame around the screen has this pretty black chrome finish. I've seen a lot of reviews saying that the camera has problems like blurry blue-tinted photos, but I have not experienced this and photos come out quite nice, clear enough to read labels on items several metres away. Haven't really tried recording any 1080p video yet. Unfortunately there is no physical camera button like the Miletone 1/2 has, I don't understand why they did that. It makes it very annoying to take pictures in situations where you can't see the screen since you have to use the onscreen button. The front-facing camera is nice, though I don't really have any friends who's phones have front cameras so I haven't got much use out of it. The dual-core processor is very fast, everything is snappy and 3D games run at a good framerate with no hitches. It does not come with a microSD card but has 16GB of built in memory, it does have the slot if you want to put one in though. I previously had a phone that came with a 16gb microSD card so having 32GB of space right from the go was pretty cool. One thing I thought was a little strange is that it has a slot for a SIM card unlike the Droid 1 and 2. The screen is higher resolution than most other phones (same as iPhone 4 in fact), though some argue that the SAMOLED screens of other phones still look better (I haven't used one of those screens so I don't know). The battery life totally surprised me, it juuust gave me the 15% battery warning after 2 days and 4 hours of frequent use with wifi turned on and an instant messaging app running the entire time. Did not expect that from a phone with a dual-core processor and HD screen. The US price is $199 with Verizon plan or $525 for the unlocked phone, though from what I've seen EU prices don't always match the US equivalent so I'm afraid I can't really tell you what the price in € would be.
