What would happen if we weren't able to avoid speaking our minds? - General

I thought about this the other day on my way back home, on the bus. We all have our own opinions and/or thoughts about things, people, stuff we'd like to do, etc... some of them are ok to share with -and that's what we're usually accustomed to do, sometimes regardless of how other people might take them-, but some of them are more of a private nature. Those are the opinions, actions or thoughts we don't want people to know about, and we make damn sure they never come out of our mouths or hands in the shape of a sentence. Like, for instance, how much you'd like to fuck your hotass neighbor, or what you really think about your ball-busting, oldass mother-in-law. Or about how much of an asshole your boss is and how much you'd like to strangle him to death with your bare hands. Just to name a few... I think the reason why we keep those über-private thoughts quiet is because we're afraid to come out of the closet and show our true colors to people. I mean, deep down, most of us -if not all of us- are all pussies. Most of the time we're terrified thinking about what would happen if we dare to do what we always think about, because we're afraid of retaliation, or prosecution or whatever... but fear is always a constant, and because of it, because of how much it fucks with our brains, you're not showing people who you really are and what you really think. We're hiding from eachother... Now, think for a second how would it be like to live in a world where fear can't mess up with your head and you finally show who you really are to people... we would be able to see our true colors, once for all... A place where you wouldn't have any inhibitions about telling people what you _Really_ think about someone or something, or about doing what you always wanted... IMHO, it'd be awesome because so many conflicts would end so quickly... just picture this: You always thought your stupid ass coworkers were always putting you behind with their bullshits, now you'd have the power to put an end to that! Or, say you always wanted to fuck that chick that blows your mind everytime you see her but you haven't had the guts to ask her out before. Now you could! Now, I know what some of you might say, "dude, 11 shots of Tequila can override any kind of inhibition, it's called 'getting shitfaced', you must try it sometime", but that's not what I mean. I'm talking, being completely sober, and being completely aware of your actions, but saying everything you've ever wanted to say to someone or doing what you've always wanted to do... Wouldn't it be cool? Think about it! :D TL;DR = You're a pussy. You've always been. Why don't you show your true colors to people? Why don't you ever speak your mind?

It's one thing to speak your mind, it's a completely different thing being understood. Most of us don't speak our minds because of the potential consequences of someone taking them the wrong way.
