I just built a new pc with windows xp on it. It was working perfect earlier, but after i installed service pack 2 i get the blue screen whenever i'm loading up my pc now, the blue screen shows up for half a second so i cannot see what the issue is and it automatically tries to reboot the system only to blue screen again.
The same thing happens with service pack 3 for some people. All I can say for issues with installing service packs is:
1. Disable AV detectors before doing so, as some attempt to protect system files.
2. Install with Admin privileges, though I think it won't let you install without them anyways.
3. Install in safe mode if the install fails in normal boot.
As for fixing it, you'll have to do a repair installation with your windows cd since your comp BSOD's when logging in.
