Cracking steam sucks anyway, I hear. Not only do you get detected fast (and have your IP + legit accounts banned from steam), but also the fact that steam's true "anti-piracy" is Valve treating customers and steam users wonderfully, not to mention great sales. Multiplayer on cracked steam clients also only allow you to play on "cracked" servers, and with many game updates (like major tf2 updates) cause a hassle's worth of incompatibility issues with the cracked version.
