Well, I have a new computer, it's certainly better than my older one. So now I'm giving my older one to my younger brother. The system as of now is this:
~ AMd single core 3800+ 2.4ghz
~ 6150se integrated mobo w/single pci-e
~ 4gb ddr2 ram
~ 17" screen (normal 1280 resolution on games)
~ 250 watt psu
Would a 3800 radeon work with this computer, would it be bottlenecked and will the psu be fine or need upgrading? Really anything would work cause he plays mostly valve games, painkiller, fear, etc.
Considering the low PSU, I would get something which uses less power.
I'm currently on a Radeon HD 4350 512MB ( at stock speeds ) and my pc handles all source games at 30+ FPS @ 1280x720. ( In half-life 2's case. I can handle it at 1600x900 @ 50+FPS with all settings maxed 4xAA, and 8xAF ).
EDIT: my powersupply is some generic 350W PSU. Not that it bothers me, I have a full life-time warranty on it anyway.
4570 then? I would think it would be decent for gaming.

A 4650 is the lowest "gaming" card.
Just get a new PSU and a 4670

Agree.
Thanks, looks like everything will even out, might trade for a 4770 though :/

Looks to be the same motherboard this computer has, so as long as it can support everything.
