But I think he could've been a bit more attentive, considering he not only hit the power pole in the first place, but also didn't survey the scene very well.

This is much lower than an electric fence so the urine stream has a chance to break into droplets. Therefore you don't get a shock. However, an electric fence is much closer, so yes, most of the time you will get electrocuted.

In the forum description all you can see is "man killed by accidentally..." I was wondering if this was going to end in "raping someone," after that interesting story about the old lady.

mythbusters have been getting less thorough with time, looking less at other possibilities and very often takes a grand shit at the circumstances described and just makes some new up. we can't trust what they say at all. but their show is awesome. that's my conclusion anyway.
