[B]The British government has warned airlines not to allow an ex-CIA employee who leaked secret US surveillance details to fly to the UK, according to a report.
We are so far in Americas pocket we would just hand him over to them immediately anyway.
This is probably why he was banned in the first place.
This is pretty stupid. Kudos to him though for revealing big information, though.

What about julian assange?
What about julian assange?
This move is probably to prevent another shitstorm of that size happening again on British soil
What about julian assange?
Our government has spent millions in 24/7 police patrols outside the embassy to arrest him the second he steps out
This is for the best.
He's not safe here sadly.
This is disappointing but considering our brown-nosing of the US he wouldn't be very safe here anyway. I really hope this guy is able to remain free somehow because what he did and the principles he did it for are worthy of praise. Not every day someone drops a 200k job just to warn the public of things they maybe should know about.
In case you hadn't noticed he is still trapped in the embassy, he can't leave without our government taking him into custody.
Probably tunneling his way out.
Our government has spent millions in 24/7 police patrols outside the embassy to arrest him the second he steps out
Wow, what a waste of money.

I doubt he'll ever set foot outside as long as the cops are there.
I can always imagine him opening he embassy doors, peeking his head out and giggling uncontrollably at everyone nearby :v:
I must now draw that.

julian assange: rapist but it's okay because he ran wikileaks!

but yeah this is the stupidest fucking thing, we need a country like russia or something to charter him out of there for a laugh, and watch the diplomatic shitstorm

He has a balcony he uses

That reminds me of this

but with him poking his foot out of the door and then pulling it back in.
They probably did it after looking at the multi million pound policing bill after having officers outside the Ecuadorian embassy 24/7 for the past few months..

Does the concept of innocent till proven guilty mean nothing to you?
Why the UK? Why not Germany or France which are far more likely to tell the US to simply fuck off?
Why the UK? Why not Germany or France which are far more likely to tell the US to simply fuck off?
The whole ''special relationship'' thing that our government thinks the Americans still care about.

well when you don't turn up for the the trial, it doesn't mean accusations go away.
well when you don't turn up for the the trial, it doesn't mean accusations go away.
Take those accusations with a grain of salt. They only started caring after he pissed off the US Government.
well when you don't turn up for the the trial, it doesn't mean accusations go away.
Doesn't make you guilty though, admittedly it does raise suspicion.
I miss the old stiff upper lip. We really do bend over for the USA now don't we? It's just a matter of time before Canada starts telling us what to do as well.

There was a trial? As far as I know he had agreed to face questioning by Swedish authorities/prosecutors in Sweden provided that they can guarantee he won't be extradited to US.
Probably tunneling his way out.
I'm half expecting him to use a fulton surface to air recovery system to get out of there.
There was a trial? As far as I know he had agreed to face questioning by Swedish authorities/prosecutors in Sweden provided that they can guarantee he won't be extradited to US.
Which they denied.
We are so far in Americas pocket we would just hand him over to them immediately anyway.
I can't help but think it's more so that if he doesn't come here we don't have to bend to the US governments' will and HAVE to send him there because of the 'special relationship' we have.
I know I'm just being optimistic though.

Which they can't legally assure
Which they denied.
He also offered being questioned in the Ecuadorean Embassy in London which they also rejected.
Which they can't legally assure
Still doesn't warrant the fact that he shouldn't be given the benefit of the doubt.
I have a huge amount of respect for Edward Snowden. its shit like this that shows just how corrupt governments are..
Going against your entire country for what you think is right is pretty noble (and takes some stones)
