• Win 7 Pro Upgrade Clean Install

First of all, lemme apologize if this isn't the right section to ask. Basically, I can get a digital upgrade copy of Win 7 Pro for cheap, which I'd like to use on a new PC, because of ISIC and shit. I've found some workarounds here and I wonder if anyone of you has tried one of 'em.
You should be able to install a downloaded ISO, create a bootable USB stick, and purchase a license. Then your installation will be legit.

I was just wondering if I could install an upgrade copy bought from ISIC store on an empty HDD.

I've used Upgrade copies of Windows Vista as a fresh install before, and it asked me to verify the "Upgrade" by inserting a legit XP disc before setup would continue. I think Windows 7 would do the same, right?
