Hello, I have a budget of £120 to upgrade my processor or motherboard. I was wondering what you would recommend because I don't want to buy something that isn't going to be compatible with my current system. My current system specs are Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 245 Processor (2 CPUs), ~2.9GHz Memory: 4GB RAM Card name: AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series Mainboard: AsRock - Model - K10N78 (All the information I could find) Power Supply: Corsair Builder Series 80+ Bronze CMPSU-430CXV2UK 430W Power Supply (PSU) If you need any additional information please let me know. Thanks in advance for the help :)
This is as low as I would go to actually make the Upgrade worth it. It will give you a very nice boost to CPU power. The only thing is make sure you have DDR3 RAM PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks CPU: Intel Core i3-4130 3.4GHz Dual-Core Processor (£77.99 @ Aria PC) Motherboard: MSI B85-G41 PC Mate ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£53.44 @ Amazon UK) Total: £131.43 (Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.) (Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-04-30 14:22 BST+0100)
