Holy fuck yes. I hope it's for the WiiU, the touch screen on the DS was so much better for controlling the brush than the wiimote or analog stick.
Yes please. The first one was great. Never got to play the handheld one. Drawing with the Wii U tablet thing would be awesome.
if it's for wii u i'll be so happy i beat okami 3 times so far and it's one of my favorite games
It better have some of the original team involved on it.
I want to be excited, but Capcom's track record as of late makes me worried.
If they get Platinum Games on it I'll cry of happiness I'm going to pray to Amaterasu now
I never played okami, but I heard its amazing. Yes, please.
I'm playing through Okami for the first time at the moment (it's "free" for any EU PS+ users). I'm about 20 hours in and apparently not even a third of the way yet so even if you pay for it it is well worth the money. It's the best zelda game ever made.
Oh shit I gotta go play Okami HD.

This is not being made by the original team because Capcom made Okamiden without getting the original producer involved so he wants nothing to do with the series now.

I have really really high doubts
All I hope is that they make a shorter intro, apart from that awesome game. awesome idea
????
Think about it
I really want it to be this.
It better have some of the original team involved on it.
This too.
For those wanting to know Capcom hired a team called Clover way back when to make a armful of new IP's. They made RE4, Viewtiful Joe, Okami and more. Near the end of the lifespan Capcom saw that the new IP's weren't selling all that well and ended up axing them, God Hand was shoved out unfinished because Clover was done. Clover then reformed itself as a separate entity known as Platinum games, where they've seen middling results with Bayonetta, Mad World, and most recently Metal Gear Rising. Capcom doesn't want to hire them back for whatever asinine reason so they decided to do Okamiden, a sequel to one of Clovers games without anyone who actually worked on it before. This became a very, very obvious problem to fans of the original for a good reason. The people who made Okamiden never played the original. The original game had a amazing story and was well written and holds a special place to me because goddamn... the sequel rewrote Amaterasu's gender, tried to hamfist Chibi into situations he didn't belong in and basically took a huge shit all over the first games plot during the second half. While mechanically it was alright, I'm super freaked out that they're making another sequel after that showing Two of the biggest changes (Spoilers for the first game) [sp]Shiranui (Amaterasu's full form) is a male and also Ammy's Dad. Don't ask why Amaterasu transforms into her dad when at full power. This one's especially baffling as Issun in the original flat out says in bold red text that they're the same character and that Shiranui is a girl. Nevermind you becoming Shiranui in the final boss fight. Susano's ancestor had to have Chibi, Amaterasu (Present) and Shiranui's (Past) help to take down Orochi. It's a super pointless scene and just kind of ruins Susano's lineage.[/sp]
No 360 version, shit. I played this game years ago and I think the nostalgia will be actually worth it this time, the game went on for so long you really get into it with the unique art work :smith:
The idea of a new Okami game developed by Platinum would just oh god athdatjdkla;jklf;
Won't happen due to A: Capcom being asshats and refusing to ask the same team they cut B: Platinum already has it's plate full with Bayonetta 2, Wonderful 101 and talks of Metal Gear Rising 2

I still have this game on the PS2, It's fucking huge. I sunk 60 hours into it when i had beaten it and i wasn't thorough either.
Yes! Hopefully it will be a continuation of the first Okami story cause that ending was such a tease for a second game. I actually went straight to looking for a sequel, something I never do for any games. Okamiden was a massive disappointment, I couldn't even finish it out of sadness. Though I won't get as hyped about it if Platinum/Clover isn't making it. I just hope the people who do this one at least try to stay on track. Almost anything would be better than Okamiden being the only other Okami game, except for Okamiden sequel.
