i'm going to the philippines around august and near my area aren't any really good areas for running - what would be a good workout for your legs if stuck at home?

Just take a boat to the south, speak english, then run like hell from the ASG. Perfect workout. If you don't get shot that is.
Squat your parents on your shoulders.
Bodyweight squats. Lots of them.
Try and find something reasonably heavy to hold and do lunges or weighted step up on the stairs?
