What is a good gaming laptop for around 1300 USD? A friend on Steam wants my opinion, So I thought I would inquire on the help of FP. I don't know much about laptops, (I am a desktop person) so I did a small bit of research and came up with this. You could probably run todays games, Probably not Crysis or anything like that nature, but you should be able to run GMOD, CSS, etc.
this one is quad core thats why its better...
If you want to play anything at things other than medium get a laptop that has 240M or above. Sager has good deals. www.sagernotebook.com
You could probably run todays games, Probably not Crysis or anything like that nature, but you should be able to run GMOD, CSS, etc.
You're kidding me, right? You could easily run Crysis on any gaming laptop that runs you more than $1000. It's requirements really aren't all that bad, only if you want to max it out completely do you have to have the ridiculous hardware.
This is pretty much perfect.
Glad I could help I've seen a few of them at best buy if you want to see what they look like in real life. Still buy it from new egg though
I can only use a laptop due to a bad back (sitting at a desk makes my back/shoulders ache in ~15 minutes.) My laptop can play most games on high (this is going off Steam Games, not something like Crysis, but all other games it is fine.) It has an 8600M GT, 2GB RAM and a Core 2 Duo at 2.2GHz. I have the same resolution as that laptop in the OP also. My laptop is around 2 years old. This can be a good reference to compare laptops you look at. I think that laptop you showed is more than capable of handling most games at very good settings. The one posted by Saxon also looks pretty nice.
I have a 9600M GT in my laptop and can run mostly everything at medium (except big games like Crysis of course). Listen, any laptop will be fine with light gaming if it has a physical video card instead of integrated.

Buy it.
