Guccifer 2.0 claims to have hacked Clinton Foundation; Foundation denies it
A hacker persona with alleged ties to the Russian government has posted what the hacker claims are files stolen from the Clinton Foundation, but the foundation says the assertions are not true.
“Hillary Clinton and her staff don’t even bother about the information security,” the hacker calling himself “Guccifer 2.0” wrote in the post revealing the files. “It was just a matter of time to gain access to the Clinton Foundation server.”
But in a statement issued shortly after the files appeared online, the Clinton Foundation denied Guccifer 2.0's claims.
"Once again, we still have no evidence Clinton Foundation systems were breached and have not been notified by law enforcement of an issue," a foundation official said. "None of these folders or files shown are from the Clinton Foundation."
According to screenshots, the files include spreadsheets tracking Foundation donors and financial institutions that have donated to lawmakers.
One person familiar with the documents said the files appeared to be from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which was hacked earlier this summer.
One spreadsheet appears to detail how much banks have given to lawmakers on the House Financial Services Committee. Another document shows how much banks gave to Democratic lawmakers and how much those banks received from the 2008 bailout bill to stabilize the financial sector, known as the Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP.
Many of you have been waiting for this, some even asked me to do it.
So, this is the moment. I hacked the Clinton Foundation server and downloaded hundreds of thousands of docs and donors’ databases.
Hillary Clinton and her staff don’t even bother about the information security. It was just a matter of time to gain access to the Clinton Foundation server.
[...]
I can’t post all databases here for they’re too large. I’m looking for a better way to release them now.

"what are you gonna do, hack me?" says foundation hacked
I'm not to sure this is legit.
I mean there is a folder there that literally says "Pay to Play"
That just screams bullshit. No one is going to make that folder, let a lone name it that.
Seems fake.

idk I bet obama has a file on his computer called "faked_birth_certificate.png"
We just need our lord and savior Assange to hack him so we can see it

no one is ever wrong until they're wrong

If they are right, and someone labeled those folders like that... I'm going to lose it. Like how incompetent do you need to be to think that was a good folder name for illegal activity. You couldn't have though of anything else... at all. Name it Snoopy for christ's sake.
From what I've read it's not from the Clinton Foundation, but the DCCC, which was hacked earlier this year.

you'd be surpised
DNCC leaks had people emailing eachother plaintext passwords and all sorts of dumb shit

People who don't think they'll get caught can be surprisingly naive.
Russians are pretty good at mixing truth and lies to get you to believe there narrative, which is why RT is so effective. Considering that theirs a high probability its them I would wait until a third party can confirm the leaks.
Pay to Play is an actual SEC rule so even assuming this is real, its not a sign of wrong doing. These leaks aren't from CF, it's leftovers and public info from DNC and DCCC leaks. Russians are getting too eager.

You'd be surprised how shitty internal names can be.
I mean, it's not like these files were made to be seen by public anyway.

Agreed, look up some stories from computer forensic experts.
shit like wherethebodyishidden.txt and childPornography.mov are found all the time.

Dunno about them, but I remember some files from Moscow water company, which I replaced some computers for.
Files like "shitstirrer-3-twothousandandfourteen.xls" with internal comments about how "Boris V. will split your ass in half if you don't replace this fucking shitty fuckwad in a week!" were common.
MULTIPLE sites have already confirmed that this is the DCCC dump from earlier in the year. Guccifer is full of shit.

wasnt there an email that came out a few weeks ago from the DNC hacks in which they were literally using the term "pay to play" in reference to selling off public offices to donors? i can totally believe this

no
They actually were hacked. I was in the 4chan thread and we found a login and a password to their site that worked- then, confirming CTR exists on 4chan, within 10 minutes the password stopped working.

CTR is everywhere :tinfoil:

That's exactly what a CTR worker would say :v:

Yeah but that would be unrelated to Guccifer 2.0 wouldn't it? Unless you found the password in the Guccifer 2.0 leaks it'd just be 4chan hacking CF on their own.

It's funny that people make jokes about CTR paranoia despite the fact that CTR is an actual organization that really does send people to places like 4chan and Reddit to post Clinton propaganda. Tinfoil hat is usually reserved for when things aren't happening.
It was found in Guccifer's piles of documents somewhere is all I know, I just thought it was interesting.

Is there actually any proof of this.

Bonus points for proving that a majority of pro-Clinton posts are from paid CTR workers.
Correct The Record will invest more than $1 million into Barrier Breakers 2016 activities, including the more than tripling of its digital operation to engage in online messaging both for Secretary Clinton and to push back against attackers on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and Instagram. Obviously CTR exists. I've talked about it before. I wanted proof of them "sending people to places like 4chan and Reddit to post Clinton propaganda".
And I'd sooner describe myself as anti-Trump than pro-Clinton, it just so happens that Clinton is best positioned to stop him right now.
I consider myself pro-reality. Out of all the candidates Clinton seems to be the only one that exists in the same one as me.
