Hello Facepunch.
For about year, one guy from Singapore has spammed my email with different ways; Spamming "Reset password" shit on FPSBanana, sending emails saying "Die" or something like that, registers to different websites using my email and adds me to different newsletters.
This all is getting really annoying.
If you ask me why he spams, then I can tell you:
An year ago on FPSBanana there was a user called "Saint :-)" (His real name is Christopher Seow). He was too childish and with that reason got banned (Requested by some members, including me). He wanted revenge, so he decided to spam some member's emails. I thought it would only last one week, however... It has been over an year already and is still spamming.
I have tried report his spam to his ISP (Including email thing, where is stated his IP-address and other information), but ISP did nothing. Didn't even contact me about it, when I asked them to. I also did sent him personal email asking him to stop spam already, since it's going too far. Nothing.
Now, when I took a look at my spam folder, I saw him spamming me again:

Same message 61 times.
And IP-Address 119.74.171.29 leads to Singapore (Which I'm not surprised about).
I'm totally out of ideas with this situation and I am looking for an help. I would send a new report to his ISP, but I believe it would be ignored again.
Does any of you have any advice for this situation? I have other email on use, but this current one is slightly important to me. And I am looking for a advice, which doesn't include spamming back or something.
Thanks in advance.
Also, sorry for possible horrible grammar and if this thread belongs to wrong section/category. I'm too tired about everything.
Thank you great leader for pointing out me typoing Singapore.
It's spam, it goes in your spam folder. Just empty it.

Unfortunately, it doesn't go to spam folder sometimes.

So setup a filter, it'll trash it. Go to settings. You can have everything from his name or email go to the trash.
I can't believe you misspelled Singapore thrice

I wish it would be that easy, but there is too many different newsgroups etc, where he adds my email.

Not much you can do then, is there? Make a new email account, or deal with it, or report it to Google.
change email address.
Use priority inbox for your really REALLY important things.
err, it's just spam and you should ignore it and set up a proper filter
doesn't deserve a thread
OP went wrong by sending an email to the guy, that just confirms your existance. Never EVER reply to spam. Stupidest thing you can ever do.

I have another email account, but it's hard to just bail out current email. I have been trying to deal with it for quite long time.
And what Google can do about it? He has only used Gmail account to spam me few times and after moved to use newsletters to spam me.

I sent it from "fake email". He also knew my existance anyway.

I don't know, ask Google. You don't have many options. Spam is hard to track. See my most recent post before this one, you kind of dug your own grave on this one by replying to his emails.

Well I could try contacting Google then.

So do it. There's nothing anyone on FP can do about some spammer.

But FP did what I came to look for; advices.
Does he send the same email body text every time? If so, setup a filter to block a string of words included in the body.

Latest spam has came from same address (So yes, I think), but I guess he changes site to use on spamming soon, which makes filter somewhat useless.
Well just put a filter in place with some common element from all the emails, and contact Google at the same time, not much you can do for this one.

Alright, thanks for your help.
Spam him?
Spam him?
Did you read the thread? Multiple e-mail addresses.
just Signa up on the Pore guy's link
SpamCop lets you report the spam to the proper webmasters, maybe you can force his hand via proxy.

Not e-mail only. Twitter, Facebook, IRL?
And you can spam multiple emails too man.

Multiple meaning a shit-ton, apparently. I would assume OP would have some kind of life outside of GMail.
One of Singapore's ISP uses a proxy for all their IPs, so..
Spam him?
How it would help? Nothing. I don't achieve anything with spamming him back.
