I was playing borderlands and then it crashed when i was in a mission, then i loaded firefox and all the nav bars and toolbars were missing and try to load IE8 and all the pictures were static and colors were mess up on them. I try to highlight something and my mouse stop moving, but a invisible mouse continued to highlight my icons. Specs: Phenom II X3 2.8ghz OC to 3.0ghz (Max temp = 52c Min temp = 28c) Evga Nvidia 9800GTX+ (Drivers Version = 191.07 Max temp = 81c Min temp = 40c) Windows 7 64bit Legal PSU Corsair 650w 4GB of ram DRR2. Nothing is overclock but the processor. Reinstalling Windows 7 right now to see if that fixes it. Also one of my flash drives showed up as USB 1.0 when I connected it.
Holy shit! Thats quite a lot of damage that a game crash could cause, and even if your entire system was overheating, its unlikely to cause such large scale damage to the OS, the max you usually get is random shutdowns. Did you by any chance try restarting before going on to reinstall windows? When an app crash, sometimes the windows UI gets screwed up, but usually a restart fixes that.
Reinstalled it and everything seems to be back to normal, that was crazy what borderlands did. :P

Firefox and IE just detected you were low on ram. It could just be the game process still open stealing it. You could have just restarted.
Shit like this happens sometimes, I wouldn't worry unless it becomes persistent.
I'm laughing at you for not trying to restart first.
