An eight-week-old cat managed to survive an hour-long washing machine cycle after sneaking in with a load of clothes.
Princess the kitten crept into the machine while owner Susan Gordon had her back turned and had to endure the full cycle, using up one of its nine lives in the process. Much to her horror, Susan, 49, noticed the bedraggled feline as she was unloading the machine.
Princess was quickly rushed to a veterinary surgery in Kingswells, Aberdeen, suffering from a nose bleed and sore eyes. The resilient kitten made a full recovery two days later however, after receiving emergency care which included oxygen, IV fluids and diuretics to remove the water from her lungs.
Owner Susan said she was very pleased with the kitten’s recovery and will no doubt be thankful for a perfect end to an awful incident.
Because valuing an animals life over a humans is so logical.

you're dumb.
Although the owner did something stupid, cats doing things behind your back is pretty common. And also, as the saying goes, curiosity kills the cat.
They are like children, you have to use child safety procedures sometimes.
My brother accidentally sat on one of our cats once because the cat decided to burrow herself beneath the blankets on the couch. She was nothing more than a lump poking out of the end of the couch in our eyes.
My cat snuck into my fridge once...Didn't find out he was in there until I wanted some orange juice, instead I found a very cold and angry cat.
My uncle's cat constantly jumps into the dryer, every time he does a load he has to poke around first to make sure it isn't in there
my cat once crawled into a small hole above/behind the washing machine that goes into the wall, and from there found a nearby entrance into the top drawer on a counter of one side of my room. It's very short, she was stuck there all day before being heard

cats get into the craziest places
Cats are just curious and it's hard to keep up with him. You deserve to be punished if you put your cat in the fridge or the washer or dryer for kicks.
You know how you pull the drawers out of a dresser? Well we had a dresser where if you pulled them out far enough you could get in the hollow dresser. So my little brother had his dresser drawers wide open and my cat entered them. Well, he closed them and he had no idea my cat was inside. So there I'm, trying to find out where the hell my cat is cause all i can hear is meowing. Then I look at the dresser and open the drawers to find nothing, I was confused. But I figured it out, ITT strange places your cat has gone.

What makes us more valuable than other animals just because we're smarter? Asswipe.
Wait nevermind we are more valuable.
Oh god this thread is going off topic so quickly. I can see it coming, its going to be the same "how is animals less important then humans vs humans are more important"
one time i wasnt looking and my cat crawled into my anus

Your drier exhaust empties into your room? :v:
One time I wasn't looking and nothing happened because I don't have a cat :v:
My cat went spelunking in our air ducts once.
That'll learn ya for not putting registers on floor ducts, won't it DAD?
my kitten went like 4 hours

Seems logical captain!
Sometimes my cat goes to sleep around my chair/feet when i'm on the computer and I accidentally kick her when I get up. :saddowns:
this is why I always check before starting the dryer/washer

Newsflash: We are animals too, mammals to be specific.
I used to have a cat along with her kittens. They liked to live under my bed.
Then two of the kittens somehow hung themselves on some straps that were under there and died :(
I had to use all my pillows to block off the underside of the bed
My cat climbed into the sofa got stuck and it took me a day to find her.
Keeping any animal as a pet is slavery and anyone who does that should be prosecuted.
Your kidding right?
ITT: Everyone now tells their own cat stories relevant to the OP
hilarious news!
