This has been happening ever since CS:S updated, and it happens when I'm connecting to a server, and I hit 'Retreiving Server Info', or when I finish downloading the files of the server. Very rarely does it work, and when it does, it's usually in a de_dust2 server. But when I get into the server, it will show the players but suddenly lag for a second and do the error again. AGAIN, very rarely will it not do this. But THEN it will crash when the C4 explodes. This is very confusing, and I've reinstalled CS:S already. My computer isn't great, considering it was made in 2003. But it has always been able to run CS:S, and now it won't. Please, help?

check the CS:S files to see if any are read only
