Hello Facepunch, I'm gonna be selling my PC pretty soon so that I can upgrade to Sandy Bridge. I think I could get at least $700-750 for it, but I wanna know what you guys think. Specs: Athlon II 240 X2 @ 3.5GHz Sapphire 4870 512MB 550W Ultra LSP 2GBs 800MHz DDR2 DVD Burner Primary 80GB HDD for OS Secondary 250GB HDD for storage All housed inside a Rosewill Destroyer. Thanks in advance!
$700 seems too much, especially for something used.
I'm guessing OS is included, and if he can find an illiterate to sell it to there's no reason why he can't get $700 But personally I would buy it for $350
700 is way to much. If your going to be selling it to someone who knows their way around a computer, then 400 if you're lucky. If not, then 500. That's being optimistic.

If I can rip someone off I would gladly do it to a stranger, of course
I'm comparing it to something like this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229194 Also, I'm selling my legit copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit with it. And anyone who knows their way around a computer isn't going to be looking on Craigslist for a good deal. [editline]9th January 2011[/editline] I'm gonna say $750, but take no less than $675. I'm not expecting to get $750-700 for it. You start high so that you got wiggle room.
I would say $500 because most illiterate people will ask someone or look it up themselves to see if it is a good deal

Here are some other gaming PCs people have posted for $500-600. $400-500 is fair, but considering what some of those people are charging on craigslist I think you could easily sell it for $650. I mean really, a PC with a GTS 220 in it for $625?
PC Ilitterate: $700 USD PC Builder: Conservative = $400 USD Optimistic = $600 If I had money I would buy it from you for $600 so my brother can go play MW2 somewhere else.
I listed it for $750 today. Hoping to get around $675-700.
