President Trump's approval rating has slipped to 38 percent, a new national poll finds. The Quinnipiac University survey released on Wednesday says that only 38 percent of Americans approve of Trump's job performance, while 55 percent disapprove of the commander in chief. According to Quinnipiac, the 17-point difference in Trump's approval rating is the worst he's fared in a poll since taking office in January. An earlier survey from the pollster this month registered Trump with 42 percent approval and 51 percent disapproval. Good fucking job. Now let's see if we can hit <30% approval.
Good fucking job. Now let's see if we can hit <30% approval.
I want to see if he becomes even more hated than Truman/Nixon were (they tied for lowest ratings at 22% each).
Here's the logical conclusion, though, it can dip as low as it wants, what recourse do we have? I can see it hitting the 10's and him still being an impunitive manchild in office without a single worry.

On that note, maybe somebody will grow the good sense and the stones to impeach him at that stage.
Didn't we already have a few threads for this?
I think you meant impulsive. On that note, maybe somebody will grow the good sense and the stones to impeach him at that stage.
"Being outside of the rule of law, without risk of retribution. "The corrupt officials enjoyed complete impunity."
seems like every week i see the same thread
To be fair, he did it to himself. I may not always agree with Keith, but he hit the nail on the head here:
It probably wont go much further than 35%, at that point we'd be relying on the completely closed-minded core supporters to use critical thinking if it's to drop any lower. We're hitting bedrock.
It's pretty funny how we are pretty much getting a weekly countdown. I wonder how low it will go before it's just avid Trump fans holding it up.
Wow, I always tought Truman was a popular president
He is. Just not at the time.
I want to see if he becomes even more hated than Truman/Nixon were (they tied for lowest ratings at 22% each).
Kind of off topic, but Nixon really didn't deserve that approval rating. He wasn't great, but he's far from the worst president we ever had. Watergate was shady as hell, but it's nothing compared to what some other presidents have done.

What is the lowest reported presidential approval rating ever recorded?
he cant be impeached without doing something illegal regardless of how much people dislike him lol
Yeah Congress should investigate into his conflicts of interest.
What is the lowest reported presidential approval rating ever recorded?
22% for Nixon and Truman, 25% for G. W. Bush. He has a ways to go before breaking any records. Bush has the record for the highest disapproval rating at 71%.
Who would you argue was worse than Nixon, just out of curiosity?
There's quite a bit, honestly. Andrew Johnson, Herbert Hoover, James Buchanan, Franklin Pierce. Harding too if you're counting scandals.
wait for executive order round two, illegal power boogaloo
wait for executive order round two, illegal power boogaloo
I'm waiting for Trump to sign an executive order that just has a title that says "Negative Polls about the President are rendered invalid". Does he think Executive Orders is like a diary where when you write something down, it just comes true no matter the ridiculous logistics?
The saddest part is that there seem to be a lot of conservatives that support some of the things he's doing if some other polls are any indication so he'd probably have a much higher approval rating if he had an ounce of tact.
i'm so weary of polls nowadays...
I don't think this poll means much. The article it self even states
Polls of Trump's approval rating have shown a wide disparity, according to data tracked by RealClearPolitics. Several others polls put the president's approval rating in the mid-40s, with the conservative-leaning Rasmussen putting his approval rating as high as 51 percent.
I was on the fence about him at first, and while not absolutely everything he's done is dumb, I wouldn't give him my approval at this point
I don't think this poll means much. The article it self even states
as its been said over and over again, its basically everybody showing a +/- 3 points then theres rasmusen rigging their polls to show something else
I don't think this poll means much. The article it self even states
if even the most generous poll (run by a group the most favourable to him) has trump barely scraping 50% approval, that means at least half the country still thinks he shouldn't be president
