President Trump has a perfectly valid reason for his weekend getaways to the golf course: the White House isn’t up to his standards.
The President, who has been blasted for his frequent trips to his own properties — especially after calling out former President Barack Obama for his own excursions — explained away his vacations while at the Bedminster Golf Club in New Jersey recently.
"That White House is a real dump,” Trump told guests, according to Golf.com.
The White House has 132 rooms spread across 55,000 square feet, including 16 family-guest rooms, a main kitchen, a diet kitchen, a family kitchen and 35 bathrooms, according to the official government website.
Trump, meanwhile, has traded in that dump for the greens for 43 days already so far after taking office 193 days ago, according to NBC’s tracker.
Of those, he’s spent 14 days at Bedminster, 15 at Trump National Golf Club in Potomac Falls, Virginia, 13 at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm, Florida, and one at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida.
The President also feels the “most unguarded among the people who pay for their proximity to him,” according to Golf.com.
Amazing how there was so much shit flung at Obama, then this asshole drops golden turds like right now and it's nothing.

I wonder how or if they will respond considering they aren't actually the news.

I refer you back to when he said he could shoot somebody in broad daylight and his followers would still love him. They only fling shit when it isn't somebody they love, which is why Obama, being a non-American (in their eyes), a black person at that, is a good target, but Donald Trump can seemingly do no wrong when it comes to these sheep.

Golf.com has been perhaps the greatest enemy of the president and the country in US history, possibly EVER!
Considering that his hotels and penthouse are really fucking tacky, I'm not surprised he thinks the White House is terrible.
I'm surprised he hasn't launched a massive "restoration" project to fill the White House with cheap gold plating and marble, Jackie Kennedy-style
Except that Jackie had an actual sense of style

All changes have to go through congress IIRC.
-snip
If you don't want the white house to be a dump then maybe you should stop hiring trash.

So, according to wiki, the White House is actually managed by the National Park Service, and the land it sits on it's called President's Park. That's interesting
I mean if you're a tasteless idiot who lived his life in a golden fucking penthouse that would make Versailles look modest, then yeah the White House might seem a little sub-par.

I like how he has to specify that he's talking about homes. Oh yeah, the White House is a great home, but it's a fucking terrible football stadium.

This guy slacks off more than I do ffs.
I know this argument is getting a little tiring but really.
Imagine the shit Obama would've gotten for saying something like this, yet with Donnie, it almost flies under the radar.

That's because Obama was held to a high standard. Everyone already knows Trump's human trash, so they never expect much from him.

People should just start recording every single thing he says so he can't do this every time.
why does he capitalize fake news?
why does he capitalize fake news?
It's his catchphrase.
why does he capitalize fake news?
There's a button on his device that inserts FAKE NEWS whenever he pushes it.
I ended up reverse engineering it, but it gets stuck sometimes FAKE NEWSFAKE NEWSFAKE NEWSFAKE NEWS sorry
if I had to guess he did say something to that effect, but in a sarcastic way, and now he's doing damage control. just a guess based on the fact that it's the kind of joke I'd make if I were a president who was often criticized for spending a lot of time doing leisurely things

I can totally see him saying it in earnest. He seems to want to get away from the White House as much as possible and while I'm sure it's a nice place, it probably isn't anywhere near as gaudy or opulent as the types of places Trump is known for.
I don't know, I've been there and it's pretty fucking gaudy and opulent. not any less so than trump's place, just less gilding in favor of a more neoclassical style
People should just start recording every single thing he says so he can't do this every time.
Lol that won't stop him. He'll decline it anyways and his supporters won't even give a shit if it was recorded. Hell, he already did it in that debate with Hillary where he said "I said she doesn't have the stamina" even though they had him saying she doesn't have a presidential look.

Are you oblivious to the constant roasting of his ass by every outlet?

ALAN SHIPNUCK: Yeah, I had a conversation with Ms. Hicks as well, which was quite enlightening -- the confrontational and rude tone of the phone call. They definitely don’t waste any time trying to be charming or friendly, these people in the White House communications department. She tried the same line on me, "That’s a lie and needs to be retracted." I explained to her: It’s not a lie. The president said this in front of eight or nine members and staffers at [Trump] Bedminster. It was his first visit to the club after he had been residing in the White House. It was a moment of candor. Someone who was a part of that conversation relayed it to me. I found this person to be an extremely credible source on any number of topics.
The week of the U.S. Women’s Open [in July], I heard the same story told by two or three different other sources. This is certainly a moment that has already passed into legend at Trump Bedminster. It might be inconvenient for her boss and she might wish he didn’t say it, but it’s not a lie. It was a little insight into how the Trump media operation works coming out of the White House. As a courtesy to the office of the president, we did put in the digital version a parenthetical statement that says, "a White House spokesperson denies this incident ever took place." I forget the exact wording. Of course it did take place but we were just being nice by offering in their two cents. I got a similar nasty phone call.
He's talking specifically about the people who flung shit at Obama, like Fox News for instance.

ok so he says there that he didn't hear it himself but it was relayed to him. who was his source? did his source hear it himself or did he hear it from yet amother source? how deep does the rabbit hole go? did it lose context being relayed to him? can any of the other sources weigh in? this is a clear cut friend of a friend deal which I'm sure you all know isn't necessarily reliable information.
I'll reserve judgement on third party info until it isn't the world's most widely publicized game of telephone. if it was actual journalists I'd be less skeptical but golf.com doesn't exactly strike me as the place to be getting political news
