A family moved to Africa ecause they were worried about their kids growing up too fast.

As a mother of three young girls Alison Cowan worried about her daughters growing up too fast. From hankering after the latest must-have toy to wanting to wear make-up, it seemed to Alison and her husband, Alan, that their children were never satisfied with what they had and were sprinting towards adulthood.
It's a sentiment that many parents would sympathise with. However, few would dream of uprooting a comfortable family life and leaving behind a smart four-bedroom house in St Albans, Herts, to spirit their family 3,000 miles away to Africa in search of a more simple life.

Dailymail, "Ecause", what is this blasphemy?
What...
i hope they like getting raped tortured and racially discriminated against! I'm sure they will since they moved to Africa anyway.
Seriously if you want a simple life, move to a rural small town, not fucking sub-Saharan Africa, the worst place in the world.
Haha, they wont grow up at all. They have probably been kidnapped and killed already.

If they go to South Africa, or Morocco they'd be alright.
If they go to Niger, or Somalia they're fucked.
Finally decided to read it (Ugh I hate Dailymail.) Uganda? Hah they're screwed.

Not all countries are like that in Africa.
Epitome of stupidity.

Africa isn't some shithole you know, most of it is but not all of it.

Like you said, Most, as in, over 70%.
I wish I'd had the chance to do this.
I'm actually serious.
I used to live in west Africa, its not bad they have computers and all of that it's not a shitehole.
Kids used to go and see hangings and they turned out fine.
Their thinking makes sense, but why the hell are they moving to Africa? Why not some rural countryside?

What especially amazes me is that they're moving to Uganda. War-torn, civil war, Uganda.
Of all places they choose Uganda? One of the poorest countries in the world?
Endowed with significant natural resources, including ample fertile land, regular rainfall, and mineral deposits, it is thought that Uganda could feed the whole of Africa if it was commercially farmed. The economy of Uganda has great potential, and it appeared poised for rapid economic growth and development. However, chronic political instability and erratic economic management produced a record of persistent economic decline that has left Uganda among the world's poorest and least-developed countries. The national energy needs have historically been more than domestic energy generation, though large petroleum reserves have been found in the west.
It's also home of the Lord's Resistance Army.
Recently, grassroots organizations have been attempting to raise awareness about the children who were kidnapped by the Lord's Resistance Army to work as soldiers or be used as wives. Thousands of children as young as eight were captured and forced to kill. The documentary film Invisible Children illustrates the terrible lives of the children, known as night commuters, who still to this day leave their villages and walk many miles each night to avoid abduction.
Yeah, seems like the perfect place to live and raise 3 girls. Why not actually teach your kids to not be greedy spoiled brats?
Perhaps they should've tried Zimbabwe

They were the only country to resist the scramble for African colonies. They fought Italy and won.
