Pat McCrory in a letter Wednesday that the state’s House Bill 2, which restricts transgender bathroom access and has become a focus in the LGBT rights fight, violates sections of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. It gave the state until Monday to “remedy” the violations.

“We will take no action by Monday,” Moore told reporters in a video broadcast by the Raleigh News & Observer. “That deadline will come and go. Obviously, we don’t ever want to lose any money, but we’re not going to get bullied by the Obama administration to take action prior to Monday’s date. That’s not how this works.”
Heh. Good luck with that.
Psychos
That's not how this works.
You said it not us.
Then your dumbasses are out of a job. Don't let the door hit you on the ass
Ohh yes you will. Have fun getting superseded. Its called supremacy, Federal Government has it, and you get to bend over for it.
"We are not going to be bullied in our attempt to target and bully specific members of our community."
"That’s not how this works."
Ya see, that's where you're wrong. That is how it works. That's what federal law is.
I honestly hope that any place of business in NC tells the Governor and anyone who had a hand in that bill that they're not allowed to use their bathrooms.
Well bathrooms are where pieces of shit are supposed to go, so it's where the Governor belongs.
But he won't fit down the toilet. It just clogs. And there's not enough TP in the state to wipe up afterwards.
I honestly hope that any place of business in NC tells the Governor and anyone who had a hand in that bill that they're not allowed to use their bathrooms.
Serve their food in the bathroom of the opposite sex and yell at them when they try to retrieve it because IT'S THE LAW.
Fuck them then lol, enjoy companies taking their business elsewhere and getting hammered by the federal government Retake high school government class while you're at it too, homophobic morons.
whats the deal with all you guys advocating a federal smackdown? the federal government is nothing but evil
This typically results in fines that double every day until it bankrupts the state doesn't it?
whats the deal with all you guys advocating a federal smackdown? the federal government is nothing but evil
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Rights_Act_of_1964 I and many others here would prefer the federal government enacting laws over the extreme bible-back states that are so foreign to USA it is almost like going to another country.
whats the deal with all you guys advocating a federal smackdown? the federal government is nothing but evil
The states are almost always worse. This is why I inherently think Libertarians are wrong. Historically speaking, the states have always tried to take away peoples rights. Even after equal rights legislation for African Americans was passed on a federal level, individual southern states fought against it. The same is happening now with LGBT rights. "Evil" is subjective first of all, but if anything should have that label in US government, it is the states.
I hope federal agents arrive in force and start executing search warrants followed by arrest warrants. Time to make a statement. You will be bullied. You will be dragged kicking and screaming into this century even if it has to be at literal gunpoint.
whats the deal with all you guys advocating a federal smackdown? the federal government is nothing but evil
Well they're actually in the right this time, the legislation is first of all being a cunt to vulnerable people for no good reason and second of all directly breaks the Civil Rights Act, the fed's hands are tied on it, they can't have a precedent of not enforcing it.
whats the deal with all you guys advocating a federal smackdown? the federal government is nothing but evil
You can't be serious. The federal government has it's problems, but I don't know where you get "evil" from. After all, it's not the federal government that's trying to pass laws removing people's rights.
whats the deal with all you guys advocating a federal smackdown? the federal government is nothing but evil
I'm going to choose to believe that you're being sarcastic or ironic because I don't believe that anyone could be that stupid. Fed government is acting to protect the rights and safety of a people who NC is legislating to compromise, and you're calling that evil?
Saying you're "not going to get bullied" with so much confidence when oppressing LGBT people isn't tempting fate as much as it is painting a target on your forehead and gluing a pistol's barrel right against the bullseye
I was so happy to move out of South Carolina, which felt like the laughing stock of America besides Florida, and move into North Carolina. I think I'm cursed.

North Carolina should ask Texas about the federal government and being "bullied"
