I'm looking for High Performance/Gaming RAM and I wanted to see some suggestions as there are thousands of choices and most reviews are not as helpful as actual information from the "field". What I am looking for is 1600 DDR3, fast timings, heat spreaders, stable, easy to OC, compadiable with i7, and not hellaspensive.
It would be nice to know what kind of motherboard you had.
OCZ, And G.Skill are popular, maybe budget, but I do see a lot of G.Skill Ripjaws in high end builds.

In the past, yes. They used to have their own memory fabs and make their own memory, now they just use wofat inc. brands which are usually shitty and unreliable.
Their RMA department is equally as bad as their memory is. All of the RMAs I've had to send them have all taken more than a month, and sometimes two, which is absurd. I've had bad Crucial and Corsair memory, which only took 2 weeks maximum to receive replacements.
So far I've had to RMA:
4 x DDR2 1066 (had to do this twice because they sent me the old memory back, so 8 here)
4 x DDR2 800
4 x DDR 2100 ECC Registered (thousands of ECC errors, still haven't gotten these back)
2 x DDR 400
That accounts for almost all of the memory I've bought from them.
I'd have to recommend G.Skill, Crucial and Corsair. Stay away from Kingston at all costs.
Yikes, I was gonna say that I have some kingston RAM and I'm pretty happy with it since it was cheap.
I hope it doesn't break.
G.Skill has never steered me wrong, I've been using them since I bought my DDR400 in 2004, and it's the only RAM I'll buy. Not one bad stick in 7 years.

G.Skill is the best memory manufacturer, the only company that comes close to it is Corsair and their memory doesn't overclock as good as G.Skill's.

I normally pick Corsair. It generally is more expensive than other suppliers, but they have some of the best quality and support that I've seen and experienced yet.

It doesn't matter if one set of RAM you got from them worked, it's all about the masses, and the masses say that they have a higher failure rate than brands like Corsair and G.Skill. G.Skill is cheap and great RAM, there's no reason to not buy from them.

Canonically, I think that we the people who actually know computers can all agree with the the fact that G.Skill is exceedingly better in quality. I'm going to recommend Ripjaw.
