http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2016/05/03/watch-jehovahs-witnesses-are-using-this-creepy-anti-gay-cartoon-to-indoctrinate-kids/
The religious group, which is known for its door-to-door evangelising, and that has claimed that gay people are ‘child abusers’, now has a series of highly-polished videos on its website teaching ‘lessons’ to kids. One video in the series is aimed at young children – and encourages them to “Become Jehovah’s Friend” by opposing same-sex parenting. The ‘lesson’ features a girl speaking to her mother after her friend reveals she has same-sex female parents.
Said cartoon is in the source.
this is fucked up but it's already been posted in the videos section https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1517418

I'll allow it. Proceed.
I think the story is as much important as the cartoon anyways That said this is kind of scummy coming from one of the few evangelical churches that didn't seem extremely preechy like Mormons of born agains [editline]11th May 2016[/editline] In some ways these videos always seem to be more for the parents than the kids It always is a little sad that there are people too obsessed with getting to the afterlife that they forget to be happy in this one
I have a JW at work... I try not to speak too much to him, he's not very good at small talk. No one ever brought this up at work, I wonder what he'd say...
JW's keep visiting my house like every other week, walking around to the back of my house, onto my back porch (through a gate mind you. Door's also a sliding glass one too.), and knocking there. Really friggen creepy seeing their mugs staring through the glass, especially if you decided to take a nap on the couch (which is in full view of the door) and woke up to them. It's happened a couple of times now :pudge:. edit: I should probably state though that my front porch is currently dismantled. I have a pretty obvious side door that you literally couldn't miss if you were to go to the back though so I don't know why they don't knock there.
I sent my friend an image from one of the others and she instantly knew the name. 200% scared rn
I love the airplane analogy it brings because rules for what you can and can't bring on airplanes change all the time.

We've got a sizeable contingent of Mormon missionaries in my town now and I had a lovely chat with one of them about beekeeping.

disney/pixar's kill the gays

Because if they're opening the gate to enter your property, it's trespassing.
That isn't the only one that's trash, there's also this: "You wouldn't want to make Jehova sad, would you? Jehova wants to be your friend, Jehova knows best." It sounds more like an abusive relationship. To hell with their idea of paradise, it's manipulative bile and it's more disgusting that they're targeting this at children. There's a church that opened up in my town a few years ago and the other week whilst headed to the shops me and my girlfriend's dad ran into a pair of their missionaries who were looking to see if we could spell letters with our bodies, was pretty entertaining. Nice guys.
Now I'm not agreeing with what's been done in the article but that's just one representation. My fiancé's cousins are witnesses but they're very progressive about it. Her uncle is very open to talking about his beliefs and to his credit he phrases things in such a way that you don't feel like you're being preached at, it's just a discussion. I've been to three JW weddings now and I learned a lot.

JWs are VERY strict on how you're allowed to act, if you don't toe the line and the elders find out they'll discipline you by revoking "privileges", by marking you (essentially they do a talk on why whatever action you did was bad, essentially telling the congregation not to closely associate with you without directly mentioning your name) or the worst case, disfellowshipping, where they'll be cut off from their JW family and friends. Obviously some congregations take things more seriously than others, but overall there isn't really any such thing as a progressive JW.
Jehovah's Witnesses are fucking awful. Occasionally they come door to door in my neighborhood and everybody knows not to answer because they'll basically try to force their way into your home to shove their bullshit down your throat. They really don't understand "No" I remember years back, somebody here said they invited two of them into their house, sat down with his boyfriend and starting kissing him infront of them. They ran out of the house :v:

Ironically the uncle is an electrician with several employees so the very nature of his job means he has to associate with non-JWs. On top of that, my fiancé's mum was also a JW but left due to disagreeing with her upbringing. The JWs really do have some interesting ideas but as with all religions there's always something there to make it seem a bit odd.

I'm not certain, but maybe send it as a letter to their kingdom hall, informing them that you remove the implied right of access for all of their agents, to ensure they don't just send different people. Or the whole showing off a tattoo, organ donation sign, pornographic material, same sex partner or such to get rid of them.

They can get pretty annoying. For more than several times when I would eat Subway inside my car at 7 AM in the parking lot, I would be repeatedly approached by JWs bashing my closed window who wanted to have a lengthy conversation about God. Seriously, how socially inept and awkward do you have to be to interrupt someone's meal to lecture them. I don't answer my phone when I eat and they think I should stop my meal and accept all their leaflets and inappropriately long conversation. It began to stop when I continued my meal and ate and chewed with my mouth open making audible noises, and offered some dialogue muffled by the shit all over my mouth all while keeping my mouth open. It wasn't until they were disgusted when they decided to leave, and not when they realized I was the one being inconvenienced the entire time.
Personally when it comes to JWs knocking I don my Waffen SS uniform costume I have in an easy to reach position, grip my Book of Mormon in one hand, and open the door to deliver a Roman salute with my right arm. Scares em off just fine, just fine.
I generally try to have good discussions with JWs and Mormons. They are rarely informed about the big issues with their churches (a JW I talked to once didn't even know that their Bible has huge differences to the common Christian Bible). I try to bring up some of these things as questions in a nice manner and let them answer. They generally don't have an answer, which I see as the perfect outcome. It forces them to think and question.
That feeling when being gay is compared to bringing a bomb on a plane.
I personally agree with the Mormons on this one. I would not want my child to be homosexual ideally. It is brutal-FACT that %40 of pedophiles commit the acts on a child of their own gender, which can tell you that there is a large correlation between homosexuality and pedophilia, I do not know what of this is genetic. Also, I want for my children to pass on my legacy to children of their own and strive to improve the bloodline. I want to continue my genetics and family values into space. I am originally a Ugandan man so maybe I do not understand yet. I am an immigrant from outside to the new culture of US who moves with his wife.

What sources are you using to verify these facts? Homosexuality is a random choice no matter what every species has it's own homosexual community. You can't control Homosexuality in your own child, they are who they will be theres nothing you can do but repress who they really are.
