Transformers was decent during the robot fight parts, Its just that everything else was terrible.

Look at Bill Murray, he is an awesome actor and an awesome person, but he just happened to do the Garfield movies.

No idea why everybody hates him. Yes he was in Transformers, he didn't create Transformers. Yes he was in Indiana Jones and yes people hate him for it, but he did not write himself into the part. No matter who was cast in that role I bet people would hate on them anyway.
He's just a normal actor who happens to be caught in movies that seem like a good idea but get executed horribly. He has done good stuff (Even Stevens, Holes), before Transformers and even Indiana Jones. It's a good thing he's getting out of Transformers after this, I doubt he wants to be typecast in that role/as a teenager character forever.
