Title. Ask me for more information if needed. Specs: http://i.imgur.com/OXV1QYj.png http://i.imgur.com/XjT1v3F.gifv http://i.imgur.com/suqXbJE.gifv http://i.imgur.com/IEq6WiF.png
I'm assuming you don't have it to software rendering. Does gmod even allow for software rendering anymore?
I'm assuming you don't have it to software rendering. Does gmod even allow for software rendering anymore?
Sorry, Idk. This is a very new computer. I know that some bottlenecking happens, but thats not the reason for this one, since rust uses 990MHz

Was your GMod in the main menu when you took those specs? [editline]20th June 2016[/editline]
since rust uses 990MHz
???
Was your GMod in the main menu when you took those specs? [editline]20th June 2016[/editline] ???
He might be talking about the card's clock. I don't know.
What exactly is the problem here, if you are even having any problems? Just saying that it is using 0% GPU is not going to help.
if you have vsync enabled its not gonna use more then it needs to render 60 frames and gmod is old so it doesn't need much
EVERYBODY! Dont post "Disable VSync" Im not that dumb. [editline]28th June 2016[/editline]
if you have vsync enabled its not gonna use more then it needs to render 60 frames and gmod is old so it doesn't need much
Wont go over 100 MHz http://i.imgur.com/IEq6WiF.png I edited the post for all of my specs. GMOD is the problem, not my computer.
Try disabling VSync and see if that helps.
Is it rendering at a consistent 60 fps or above? Your GPU is very powerful compared to what Gmod actually needs, so it shouldn't be surprising if it uses very little of what your GPU can do. Rust is a much newer game and also poorly optimized; it's an irrelevant comparison.

what is your fps_max set to? Exploring all causes, really

Just came to realise that AMD Doesnt support DX9 anymore. THats the reason.
whoa it's me but japanese [editline]29th June 2016[/editline]
Just came to realise that AMD Doesnt support DX9 anymore. THats the reason.
that's the most absurd thing I've heard and yet googles telling me yes that is true why the hell would they do that :v:
How can I fix this problem then? [editline]29th June 2016[/editline] Are you being a dick, or didnt you see my lastest post?
There's nothing wrong with turning off vsync. You get some screen tearing, that's it.
so what's the problem, are you getting bad framerates? you never answered that question.
How can I fix this problem then?
I didn't mention a problem; I asked a question. I don't know what the problem is because you didn't answer the question. Are you getting framerates that are under 60 frames per second? [editline]29th June 2016[/editline]
whoa it's me but japanese [editline]29th June 2016[/editline] that's the most absurd thing I've heard and yet googles telling me yes that is true why the hell would they do that :v:
I think that's a misunderstanding. From what I see, they're not supporting their old DX9 graphics cards with new drivers anymore, which is to be expected. Games using DX9 should still be rendered on the GPU like normal.
I'm pretty sure the source engine is far more CPU based than GPU. No source to back that up, just generally what I've heard. Also I hate to beat a dead horse, but what exactly is wrong if you are getting full performance without interruptions?

I have R9 380 which isnt old AT ALL. and no. I get frames under 60 depending on how simple the map is. The problem is, DX9 and shitty optimized game. Garry is known to his lazyness to not optimize games well. [editline]5th July 2016[/editline]
so what's the problem, are you getting bad framerates? you never answered that question.
Yes. Less than 60 on a minecraft map on TTT. [editline]5th July 2016[/editline]
Pepper;50618488']There's nothing wrong with turning off vsync. The title isn't clear. If you want anyone to answer the question we need more detail. [editline]5th July 2016[/editline] Your previous posts say otherwise.
Please then first tell me what information do you need :^) "Your previous posts say otherwise." I said I get under 60, but sometimes over 60 depending on the map.
I could probably figure it out but if you're gonna be an ass then nah.
Pepper;50652024']I could probably figure it out but if you're gonna be an ass then nah.
You got instantly triggered, tho it was quite obvious that you should tell me the details before whining about "Give more detail."
I was responding to somebody else with that DX9 comment ya dipshit; it had literally nothing to do with you. We had to ask multiple times just to find out you were getting under 60fps, so fuck off with your attitude. Install Source SDK Base 2007 or whatever it is from the tools menu of Steam. Run it and change all the settings to max, then do the performance test. It might shed light on whether this is a Source-engine problem or a Gmod-specific problem. And again, fuck off with that attitude.
Nah it looks like GMOD is using your GPU from your image. Also how the hell do you live with constant 100% fan usage?
Wont go over 100 MHz http://i.imgur.com/IEq6WiF.png
yo
