New bit. Please read.
Hey again. i want to once again thank everyone who contributed to my survey. Now i need one final request. I would like to interview one of you non-USA folks. Preferably someone who is in the university. Who ever is interested please just PM me your answers to the survey and i'll pick whoever i feel is qualified. We can do the interview over PM, skype, or whatever the interviewee would prefer. Also, it shouldn't take too long maybe 15 to 30 minutes and it will be pretty casual. i just want to get the idea of life outside of the americas. Once more i would like to thank everyone for participating and everyone who is considering letting me interview them.
Hey Facepunch, for my English 102 course i am doing a paper on why the USA's youth are ignorant to other cultures as opposed to other countries. For this paper i have decided to do a survey asking specific questions to help me either prove or disprove what i thought and help me to figure out why it could potentially be the case.
I appreciate anyone who participates in my survey. If i may please ask that you only post to contribute to this survey. Please answer each question truthfully in your post.
What is your nationality?
What is your age?
How many languages do you speak fluently?
Other than your home country, how many countries have you visited?
How many courses have you taken on foreign countries? (ex: language, history, or cultures)
Thanks again for participating. i will record this information and if i get positive feedback i will update you all on my findings.
I didn't truthfully know where to put this thread so i went for the GD if this is the wrong place for it then i ask for a mod to move it.
Thanks again!
Also, to clarify
Let me make my intentions clearer because I have more specific intentions with my questions. i'm looking to see if the US's education system is to blame because it doesn't offer/enforce as much foreign studies, also because of the geography it may be more difficult for the US population to visit as many countries, and the fact that global culture much of the time accommodates itself for the US, to the extent where the US doesn't have an absolute reason to learn about other cultures.
