Hey guys, just discovered this script.
You can get it from AUR using "yaourt -S pacbuilder-svn"
What this basically does it automate ABS completely. It basically turns Arch into gentoo since you can compile packages from source easy like that. It can also upgrade all packages or all packages from for example the core repo with a single command.
Compiling all my Core packages from source now using just the command "pacbuilder --core"
However, I think pacman should come with this functionality stock because it's really a great feature. Basically gives you Gentoo-ish capabilities while still having the simpleness of Arch Linux.
If you're a performance freak like I am, you should definitely try this out.
Cool idea, but what really got me about AUR was when I tried installing git versions of packages.
I tried installing a git version of mesa off AUR, but they changed the package name to mesa-git, so it would conflict with mesa, and I'd have to finagle it to get it to even install. The git packages should just have a 9999 version number.
I doubt pacbuilder fixes that since it's an AUR problem. :saddowns:
Well it's pretty much just to ABS what yaourt is to AUR
