A friend of mine bought an SSV, and I was thinking about purchasing a vaporizer, considering its a great investment for a smoker. Now would you agree with a statement of if your not buying a SSV or Volcano, don't buy a vaporizer at all?
Also how much does it smell when you smoke from one?
If someone could describe it if there is a smell, because everyone I talk to is really vague about it.
Side note: I realize the cost of a SSV or Volcano, but it's a great investment.

That statement is a bit wrong. The only vapes to stay away from are the ones with deals to good to be true. Most are slapped together in a sweatshop that will break and/or made of stuff you don't want to inhale. You don't have buy a ssv or volcano although both awesome there are others. Marijuanna.com has a sub forum for vapes with really good insight on what brand gives the best for your buck.
Next thing on smell. To put it simply you don't smell burnt marijuana. The smell given off by the vape is scented sort of like popcorn or is barely non-existant.

I have a vape and I can tell you that my parents have never smelled it, even when they walked into the room a few minutes after a finished. If you are worried, keeping a window open makes it pretty much odorless.
And I wouldn't agree with that first statement. The vapor brothers works really well. So does the extreme vaporizer (silver cylinder like one) and a bunch of others. Go to fuckcombustion.com they know a lot
Yeah, you can smoke in your room all you want with a vape.
My friend stopped caring when he turned 18 and started smoking his bong in his room, and his stepdad thinks the smoke coming out of his room is just from his hookah, despite the intense smell.

My friend had a vapor bros (the wooden box with the neon underlights) that he got off ebay for like 30 bucks, but he dropped it a bunch of times and the heating element broke. It doesn't smell like bud, to me it tastes like burnt popcorn or tree bark (not that I've eaten tree bark :P), and is a lot less harsh than regular smoke. My friends said it really fucks with your tolerance, but for some reason I don't develop tolerance easily so I can't say for sure.

If you have smoked a different array of weed you should notice the difference in highs a bit more. In general smoking a vape gives you more of a body high. If your smoking a sativa or indica the difference can be clear.

My friend just bought a Buddha whip vape for $160. That shit is so legit. Well made, aesthetically pleasing, and gets us hella blazed.
Dont worry about the smell. It usually varies, but dissipates quickly. Most of the time, it just smells like popcorn. Last night, we smoked some White Widow out of it, and his room smelled hardcore like weed for about 10 minutes. I guess the quality of the bud plays a huge roll in whether or not it
smells like weed.
Damn though... fuckin White Widow through a vape... lol, one bowl got 3 people blazed. The vape got us fuckng wrecked.
If i was going to get a vap i'd just go all out and get a volcano. They're the best ones as far as i know
